Inspired by legendary pillars of heavy metal such as Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, The Scorpions, and Rush, Iron Kingdom is well known for their energetic and electrifying stage presence, as well as intricate musical melodies that bring listeners back to a time when the genre was in its prime.

Formed in Surrey, Canada, in June of 2011, Iron Kingdom's intent was to fill the gap of bands that are heavy, but not extreme, melodic but not mainstream, technical but approachable. ‘Curse Of The Voodoo Queen’ was released on Dec 14, 2011, and the band took the opportunity to tour western Canada, along with an appearance on the CTV Show, Canada’s Got Talent (viewership of 1 million on that episode). With the debut album finishing its cycle, the group decided it was time to record a new album, and by April 26, 2013, ‘Gates Of Eternity’ was released. Garnering strong reviews and attention from around the world, Iron Kingdom was invited to perform at Germany’s Keep It True XVII festival.

Following this massive milestone, Iron Kingdom set out to pursue as many opportunities as they could spending some serious time on the road through Canada in 2013, Europe in 2014, followed by a tour in the USA with California’s Night Demon. The band had created some major momentum and Iron Kingdom were spreading their moniker far and wide in support of the first two releases.

On July 30, 2015, Iron Kingdom released not one but two more albums, ‘Ride For Glory’, their 3rd full-length album, as well as ‘Unleashed At The Kraken (Live In Seattle)’, an exclusive live E.P. recorded on a previous tour. The band set out on the road again in support of the two new releases. The tour was unfortunately riddled with many trials, including a vehicle accident that almost killed the band members. Life on the road continued, including a massive North American tour in 2016, as well as a tour in Brazil in a supporting slot for former frontman of Iron Maiden, Blaze Bayley.

As of 2019, with a new lineup and a new album ‘On The Hunt’ on its way, Iron Kingdom will once again be ready to take the world by storm and aid in the revival of the mighty and classic sounds of Traditional Heavy Metal.

“We’re believing fans can expect the new record to be a lot more traditional in style, more accessible with a lot more rocker tunes, lots of catchy melodies and speed metal riffs, shorter songs, more packed with action, as opposed to the previous album with long epic passages. We wanted this record to include lots of great live tunes we can carry in our set for years to come!”

White wolf

Pure explosion! Razors penetrating your ears! Blunt and sharp guitars! Introduction of guitar harmonized with frantic energy, fast tempos and powerful chords, the voice is a hallmark of a good Metal! And Chris gives a good entrance to the Pure Heavy / Speed Metal style.

Driftin ’Through Time

An entrance with a sound and fast tempos, gallops, delivering a charming direct musical hit, a little more serious this song, alone perfectly coupled with fast and forceful notes, very powerful traditional Metal.

Sign Of The Gods

Excellent input handling with a blunt battery and marking a fast and strong step! Explosive guitars, Speed Metal!!! Aguerrido! Short times between each musical change that gives variety in sound.

Keep it steel

Similar at the entrance to the previous song, increasing the speed! And an excellent Chris falsette to enliven the musical fire that shows us with this super musical track, powerful and overwhelming, without leaving aside an excellent guitar solo very short.

Raze And Ruin

Guitars at the entrance opening the tempo and passage of this musical track, they give us something impressive and captivating musically, a little slower and with greater presence in the voice of Chris, melodic and rhythmic.

Road warriors

We start with a strong guitar sound and a powerful motor input, a fast track at the beginning and gradually adjusts to a slightly more constant pace and speed, the excellent voice contrasts too much with the musical style, it has a NWOBHM brand true? It is glorious and excellent.

Invaders

Guitars / Drums come together to open this song, forcefulness, changes in speed and rhythm, only guitars accompanying this song, a little slower unlike previous music tracks, but a unique Iron Kingdom seal a classic.

Paragon

Excellent input, heavier and stronger, a more coupled sound and rhythm, a slightly less fast track, a bit similar to Invaders' past song, now if I hear a little more about Heavy Metal!

The Dream

Closing with a ballad-type song or the ballad of the album, a more sublime and acoustic closing with the exposition of Chris's voice in the company of a more sentimental guitar sound, a great closing without a doubt, which burns to the end.

My Recomendation

It is an excellent album with a sound that Iron Kingdom made its own for a long time, with this release of its fourth album "On The Hunt". Exploiting in the first songs of the album and at full speed, an example is the simple and beginning of the album with "White Wolf" a heavy / speed metal eighties and very catchy with a style as I mentioned in one of the NWOBHM tracks. Heavy / Speed Metal to the old school!

Perfect guitars, a mix of brutal Riffs! Every sound like razors and very fast! Especially for Megan Merrick the lead guitar! And Chris Osterman the other lead guitar!

The Voice

Chris's voice is characteristic of this musical style, sharp notes with rapid musical changes make his voice perfect for this particular style.

Inspirado en los legendarios pilares del heavy metal como Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, The Scorpions y Rush, Iron Kingdom es bien conocido por su enérgica y electrizante presencia en el escenario, así como por intrincadas melodías musicales que llevan a los oyentes a un momento en que el género estaba en su mejor momento.

Formado en Surrey, Canadá, en junio de 2011, la intención de Iron Kingdom era llenar el vacío de bandas que son pesadas, pero no extremas, melódicas pero no convencionales, técnicas pero accesibles. ‘Curse Of The Voodoo Queen’ se lanzó el 14 de diciembre de 2011, y la banda aprovechó la oportunidad para recorrer el oeste de Canadá, junto con una aparición en el CTV Show, Canada’s Got Talent (audiencia de 1 millón en ese episodio). White Wolf

Explosión pura! Navajas penetrando tus oídos! Guitarras contundentes y agudas! introducción de guitarra armonizada con energía frenética, tempos rápidos y acordes potentes, la voz es un distintivo de un buen Metal! Y Chris da una buena entrada al puro estilo Heavy/Speed Metal.

Driftin’ Through Time

Una entrada con un sonido y tempos rápidos, galopa, entregando un encantador golpe musical directo, un poco más grave esta canción, solos perfectamente acoplados con notas rápidas y contundentes, Metal tradicional muy potente.

Sign Of The Gods

Excelente manejo de entrada con un batería contundente y marcando un paso rápido y fuerte! Guitarras explosivas, Speed Metal!!! Aguerrido! Tiempos cortos entre cada cambio musical eso le da variedad en el sonido.

Keep It Steel

Similar en la entrada a la canción anterior, aumentando la velocidad! Y un falsette de Chris excelente para avivar el fuego musical que nos demuestra con este súper track musical, potente y aplastante, sin dejar a un lado un excelente solo de guitarra muy breve.

Raze And Ruin

Guitarras en la entrada abriendo el tempo y paso de esta pista musical, nos entregan algo impresionante y cautivador musicalmente, un poco más lenta y con mayor presencia en la voz de Chris, melódica y rítmica.

Road Warriors

Arrancamos con un fuerte sonido de guitarras y una entrada de potente motor, una pista rápida al inicio y poco a poco se ajusta a un ritmo y velocidad un poco más constante, la voz excelente contrasta demasiado con el estilo musical, tiene una marca de NWOBHM cierto? Es gloriosa y excelente.

Invaders

Guitarras/Batería se unen para abrir esta canción, contundencia, cambios en velocidad y ritmo, solos de guitarras acompañando esta canción, un poco más lenta a diferencia de las anteriores pistas musicales, pero un sello único de Iron Kingdom un clásico.

Paragon

Excelente entrada, más pesada y fuerte, un sonido y ritmo más acoplado, una pista un poco menos rápida, semejante un poco a la pasada canción de Invaders, ahora si escucho un poco más de Heavy Metal!

The Dream

Cerrando con una canción tipo balada o la balada del álbum, un cierre más sublime y acústico con la exposición de la voz de Chris en compañía de un sonido de guitarras más sentimental, un cierre estupendo sin duda, que arde hasta el final.

Mi Recomendación

Es un excelente álbum con un sonido que Iron Kingdom hizo propio desde hace mucho, con este lanzamiento de su cuarto álbum "On The Hunt". Explotando en las primeras canciones del álbum y a toda velocidad, un ejemplo es el sencillo e inicio del albúm con "White Wolf" un heavy/speed metal ochentero y muy pegadizo con un estilo como lo mencione en una de las pistas NWOBHM. Heavy/Speed Metal a la vieja escuela!

Guitarras perfectas, un mezclado de Riffs brutales! cada sonido como navajas y muy rápidas! En especial para Megan Merrick la guitarra líder! Y para Chris Osterman la otra guitarra líder!

La Voz

La voz de Chris es característica de este estilo musical, notas agudas con cambios rápidos musicales hace que la voz de él sea perfecta para este estilo en particular.
