N: Hello, thank you for the opportunity.

 

How are you?

 

N: I'm very well thank you.

 

Tell us a little about your musical career, how has it been?

 

N: My musical career with BrightStorm is in a period of concentration, we have

 released the album and we have recently launched a music video, now we are planning a possible tour outside Brazil.

 

How do you train the voice and what is your vocal range?

 

N: Well, in addition to BrightStorm I do a licentiate degree in music, I am part of the symphonic choir of São Jose dos Campos (Brazil) And all this requires a great daily study of vocal technique, so it can be said that I am in constant vocal study I quite get the high notes for being soprano I get up to Fa5.

 

What does mean the name of the band?

 

N: BrightStorm means "light in the dark" since our letters address situations in which we live or witness close people living, such as depression, anxiety and other day-to-day problems that they can not solve. We believe that music can be a great escape valve to find light and peace of mind.

 

Some musical influences that made a big difference in you?

 

N: Evanescence is certainly a great influence for me. I identify with Amy Lee and how she puts all her emotion into the music. But it is not the main reference of BrightStorm, we have in the instrumental parts diverse influences like Nightwish.Epica , After Forever, Tristania and Draconian.

Why not Goth / Power or some other darker Musical Style?

 

N: We identify a lot with symphonic metal, I think it best describes our personality.We are not so somber hehe ... We like the mix of the popular vocal, with lyrical song with heavy instrumetal.

 

Do you have interesting lyrics on the subject such as Internal Reflections, Mythology and Philosophy as you do to combine them in each song?

 

N: We simply do at the time of composing what we feel at the moment. We mix themes that we like as mythologies but, we also speak of situations lived by us, where only music can understand us.

 

Listen to your new video 'Vampire' I like the song! Why this special song and tell us about the production?

 

N: We think Vampire is one of the strongest songs on the album, it's a mythical theme that we like and we really wanted to make a video, since it was one of the most loved by the fans. The production was very cool, we were very happy with the result. We wanted that medival climate, castles, etc. where we could leave it open for the public to use the imagination.

 

Now its from your past album 'Through the Gates' will there be another new video? Tell us a little!

 

N: It may be that you have another video yes, but still no predictions.

 

Any tour soon for your country or tour in South América?

 

N: Yes we are planning a tour of South America soon. But still no confirmed dates.

N: Hola, gracias por la oportunidad.

 

¿Cómo estás?

 

N: Estoy muy bien, gracias.

 

Cuéntanos un poco sobre tu carrera musical, ¿cómo ha sido?

 

N: Mi carrera musical con BrightStorm está en un período de concentración, Lanzamos el álbum y recientemente lanzamos un video musical, ahora estamos planeando una posible gira fuera de Brasil.

 

¿Cómo entrenas la voz y cuál es tu rango vocal?

 

N: Bueno, además de BrightStorm, soy licenciado en música, formo parte del coro sinfónico de São José dos Campos (Brasil) y todo esto requiere un gran estudio diario de la técnica vocal, por lo que se puede decir que estoy en constante estudio vocal. Recibo las notas altas por ser soprano. Yo alcanzo Fa5.

 

¿Qué significa el nombre de la banda?

 

N: BrightStorm significa "luz en la oscuridad" ya que nuestras cartas abordan situaciones en las que vivimos o presenciamos a personas cercanas que viven, como depresión, ansiedad y otros problemas cotidianos que no pueden resolver. Creemos que la música puede ser una gran válvula de escape para encontrar luz y tranquilidad.

 

¿Algunas influencias musicales que hicieron una gran diferencia en ti?

 

N: Evanescence es sin duda una gran influencia para mí. Me identifico con Amy Lee y cómo ella pone toda su emoción en la música. Pero no es la referencia principal de BrightStorm, tenemos en las partes instrumentales diversas influencias como Nightwish, Epica, After Forever, Tristania y Draconian.

¿Por qué no Goth / Power o algún otro estilo musical más oscuro?

 

N: Nos identificamos mucho con el metal sinfónico, creo que describe mejor nuestra personalidad. No somos tan sombríos, jeje... Nos gusta la mezcla de la voz popular, con una canción lírica con instrumentos pesados.

 

¿Tiene letras interesantes sobre el tema, como Reflexiones internas, Mitología y Filosofía, como lo hace para combinarlas en cada canción?

 

N: Simplemente lo hacemos a la hora de componer lo que sentimos en el momento. Mezclamos temas que nos gustan como mitologías, pero también hablamos de situaciones vividas por nosotros, donde solo la música nos puede entender.

 

Escuche tu nuevo video 'Vampire'. ¡Me gusta la canción! ¿Por qué esta canción especial y cuéntanos sobre la producción?

 

N: Creemos que Vampire es una de las canciones más fuertes del álbum, es un tema mítico que nos gusta y realmente queríamos hacer un video, ya que era uno de los más queridos por los fanáticos. La producción fue muy buena, estuvimos muy contentos con el resultado. Queríamos ese clima medieval, castillos, etc. donde pudiéramos dejarlo abierto para que el público use la imaginación.

 

Ahora de tu álbum anterior 'Through the Gates' ¿habrá otro nuevo video? ¡Cuéntanos un poco!

 

N: Puede ser que tengas otro video, sí, pero aún no hay predicciones.

 

¿Alguna gira pronto para tu país o gira en Sudamérica?

 

N: Sí, estamos planeando una gira por Sudamérica pronto. Pero aún no hay fechas confirmadas.
