Manora is a symphonic metal band from the Netherlands. Their sound is characterized by clean vocals and catchy melodies while maintaining a metal foundation. The combination of the typical symphonic metal ingredients and their own sound allows the band to claim their space in the symphonic metal spectrum.

Manora was founded several years ago when guitarist Ivo Visser and keyboard player Arthur Stok starting writing their own songs. After several line up changes, Manora was complemented in 2016 with Tijn Scholtze on drums, Tomas Kisielewicz on bass, and vocalist Mirte van der Ham.

An epic, atmospheric and operatic beginning, dramatic and strong instrumentation with a powerful keyboard, drums and accompanying chords, a melodic and harmonic song.

The Traveler

Now we have a more natural beginning, with rain in the background, melancholy and softness, piano and sublime voice in chorus with a strong drum tempo, there are keyboards, speed and rhythm increase, we have a combination of power metal a bit in the style of Italian bands.

Break Your Fall

We continue with the beautifully created beginnings, an epic style, with strong, melodic and changing guitars in speed, a power / symphonic metal clearly with symphonic energy charged together with the beautiful melodic voice of Mirte.

Wired To Obey

A different beginning, keyboards from the beginning, chords in a single strong and continuous line, with the same power that until now the band has shown with a lot of melody in between!

Pull The Strings

We have a modernist beginning, something electronic and something similar to the previous song, continuous, strong chords together with the drums with the same rhythm.

Endgame

A strong, epic beginning and with a greater melodic and operatic structure like the song at the beginning of the melodic album, the style of the songs are very similar in some passages, but with the same energy and power.

Another Destiny

Excellent musical opening, super melodic, rhythmic and fast, rougher and harder chords, voices in background chorus to the rhythm and passage of the beautiful voice of Mirte.

The Heavens

That a musical entrance, sublime, atmospheric with a piano and very elegant keyboards, I think we can say that we are facing the ballad of the album with Manora's own style.

Symphony Of Lies

Epic Opening of Excellent Chorus Voices! With a Heroic style, heavier drums and guitars, straight and continuous chords, a heavier song than the previous ones.

Dreamshapes

What beautiful musical beginnings many of the songs on this album have, elegantly orchestrated, and later with heavy harmony as the previous song, being like the second part.

The Sacrifice

We have a totally heavy, strong beginning, with the very catchy melodic part combining symphonic metal and power metal with a great style and influence, the epic, fantastic and dramatic touch in each song is remarkable, in addition to being continuous many of their songs.

A Beautiful Tragedy

Closing the album with a slightly dark, intriguing opening and increasing the heaviness, forcefulness with strong tempos and later fast and melodic.

My Recomendation

Manora leaves us a very distinctive album with a lot of musical structure and great skill of the instruments with an epic, operatic, fantastic and dramatic atmosphere, many of its songs have similarities in harmony, tempos and melody, there are short riffs as in the last song very good, the bass line becomes noticeable in the denser parts of the album, there are certain notable musical influences such as a Power metal with a bit of the Italian style and the Symphonic part without a doubt to the great symphonic metal school of the Netherlands with great known bands, catchy passages and hooks with excellent and elegant orchestrations keeping the rhythm, melody, chords and tempo high and others lower to slow, the atmosphere and music of the band makes a good album created, for lovers of Symphonic Metal we have one more gem.

The Voice

Mirte's voice is majestic, elegant, melodic, with a high register if she wanted to, soft and clean, I find her voice comparable to that of Simone Simons and Sara Squadrani.

Manora es una banda de metal sinfónico de los Países Bajos. Su sonido se caracteriza por voces limpias y melodías pegadizas manteniendo una base de metal. La combinación de los ingredientes típicos del metal sinfónico y su propio sonido permite a la banda reclamar su espacio en el espectro del metal sinfónico.

Manora se fundó hace varios años cuando el guitarrista Ivo Visser y el teclista Arthur Stok comenzaron a escribir sus propias canciones. Después de varios cambios de formación, Manora se complementó en 2016 con Tijn Scholtze en la batería, Tomas Kisielewicz en el bajo y la vocalista Mirte van der Ham.

Un inicio épico, atmosférico y operístico, instrumentación dramática y fuerte con un poderoso teclado, batería y acordes que le acompañan, una canción melódica y armónica.

The Traveler

Tenemos ahora un inicio más natural, con lluvia de fondo, melancolía y suavidad, piano y voz sublime en coro con paso en tempo de batería fuerte, hay teclados, aumenta la velocidad y ritmo tenemos una combinación de power metal un poco al estilo de bandas italianas.

Continuamos con los inicios bellamente creados, un estilo épico, con guitarras fuertes, melódicas y cambiantes en velocidad, un power/symphonic metal netamente con la energía sinfónica cargada junto a la bella voz melódica de Mirte.

Wired To Obey

Un inicio diferente, teclados desde el inicio, acordes en una sola línea fuerte y continua, con la misma potencia que hasta ahora ha mostrado la banda con mucha melodía de por medio!

Pull The Strings

Tenemos un inicio modernista, algo electrónico y algo parecido a la canción anterior, acordes continuos, fuertes junta a la batería con igual ritmo.

Endgame

Un inicio fuerte, épico y con mayor estructura melódica y operística como la canción del inicio del álbum melódica, el estilo las canciones son muy semejantes en algunos pasajes, pero con la misma energía y potencia.

Another Destiny

Excelente apertura musical, súper melódica, rítmica y veloz, acordes más ásperos y duros, voces en coro de fondo al ritmo y paso de la bella voz de Mirte.

The Heavens

Qué entrada musical, sublime, atmosférica con un piano y teclados muy elegantes, creo que podemos decir que estamos ante la balada del álbum con el estilo propio de Manora.

Symphony Of Lies

¡Apertura Épica de voces en coro excelentes! Con un estilo Heroico, batería y guitarras más pesadas, acordes rectos y continuos, una canción más pesada que las anteriores.

Dreamshapes

Que bellos inicios musicales tienen muchas de las canciones de este álbum, elegantemente orquestadas, y posteriormente con la armonía pesada como la canción anterior, siendo como la segunda parte.

Tenemos un inicio totalmente pesado, fuerte, con la parte melódica muy pegadiza combinando el metal sinfónico y power metal con un gran estilo he influencia, el toque épico, fantástico y dramático en cada canción es notable, además de ser continuas muchas de sus canciones.

Cerrando el álbum con una apertura un poco oscura, intrigante y aumentando la pesadez, contundencia con tempos fuertes y posteriormente rápidos y melódicos.

Mi Recomendación

Manora nos deja un álbum muy distintivo con mucha estructura musical y gran habilidad de los instrumentos con una atmosfera épica, operística, fantástica y dramática, tiene similitudes muchas de sus canciones en armonía, tempos y melodía, hay riffs breves como en la última canción muy buenos, la línea del bajo se hace notable en las partes más densas del álbum, hay ciertas influencias musicales notables como un Power metal con un poco del estilo Italiano y la parte Sinfónica sin duda a la gran escuela de metal Sinfónico de los Países Bajos con grandes bandas conocidas, pasajes y ganchos pegadizos con excelentes y elegantes orquestaciones manteniendo el ritmo, melodía, acordes y el tempo altos y otros más bajos a lentos, la atmosfera y música de la banda hace un buen álbum creado, para los amantes del Metal Sinfónico tenemos una joya más.

La Voz

La voz de Mirte es majestuosa, elegante, melódica, con un alto registro si ella quisiera hacerlo, suave y limpia, encuentro la voz de ella comparable a la de Simone Simons y a Sara Squadrani.
