The band MindMaze from Allentown, Pennsylvania (United States), the band has released two successful full-length albums since its formation in early 2012. In September 2015, the band toured with Saxon and Saint Armored and has traveled thousands of miles and made throughout the United States over the past few years.

The band's third álbum, Resolve, was released worldwide by Inner Wound Recodings on April 28, 2017. The first single "Sign of Life" generated the first music video from the band that has received more than 100,000 hits. In Youtube. The band hit the road in May-June of 2017 for a full tour of the USA. And Canada with Sirenia and Arkona, which made the band even bigger for the new audiences in new places. The band also employed the services of Pyramaze keyboardist Jonah Weingarten to provide live keyboards on that tour. The band is already working hard to write new material for their next project

Hello! My friend Sarah! Thank you very much for to know a little more about you!

​

How are you Sarah?

​

Sarah:

​

I’m doing well!  I just got back from vacation so I’m feeling rested and ready to move forward with upcoming projects.

​

What projects have you been working on or what have Sarah in mind?

​

Sarah:

​

MindMaze has been working on our new EP that will finally be released in 2019.  I also have been in communication with a few other artists I plan to do some guest work for.

​

What musical styles do you like or have you changed for a particular one? And if so, what kind of musical style is it? More Power? More Heavy?

​

Sarah:

​

I’ve honestly come to prefer melodic hard rock/AOR over most other styles of music, but my music tastes have just expanded a lot over the years.  I don’t even necessarily listen to metal a lot of the time.  I still love progressive and power metal though!

​

Any new Tour for this year with your MindMaze band?

​

Sarah:

​

We aren’t really planning to do an actual touring this year.  We’re trying to save up to get to Europe as soon as we can so we most likely won’t play many gigs this year. There will still be a few cool ones in the United States though.

​

What do think the members of the band, are they also preparing some new material?

​

Sarah:

We’ve all been hard at work trying to get the material for the EP finished.  A few of us have changed day jobs as well, so we’ve been trying to adjust to our new jobs as well.

​

And if there will be a new material, is already working on the new álbum?

​

Sarah:

​

At this point there aren’t any concrete plans to do another full length album.  We will release the new EP in 2019, with a few singles and videos.  After the material has been out for a little while and we can gauge the response of our new material, we’ll look forward to another full-length.

​

What was the best for you from the álbum ‘Resolve’?

​

Sarah

​

Resolve was an incredibly challenging album.  I’m honestly just proud of us for making it, regardless of reception.  It’s hard for me to pick a favorite part of it, but “One More Moment” is probably my favorite song from the album.  I have a soft spot for “half ballads”. Haha

​

Would you change something from the previous álbum? Or not?

​

Sarah:

​

I honestly can’t say that I would.  I am immensely proud of Resolve. With every album, there are usually always little things here or there that eat at you because you can’t go back and change them.  With this album, I really think we took the time we needed to make sure it came out right and whatever may have been imperfect, I think it adds to the character of the album and the emotions it captured.

​

The next álbum will be a similar or heavier or more melodic musical style?

​

Sarah:

​

The new music we’re working on will be more straight forward.  Resolve was a lot more progressive, with longer and more complicated songs.  The songs on the EP are more to the point and are shorter, more stand alone type songs. They’re very melodic and some of them lean more towards the melodic rock/AOR style I talked about before. 

​

What will be the theme of the next álbum? A story? A tale?

​

Sarah:

​

As I said before, we really don’t have plans for a new full-length at this time, but I can say that most likely whenever we make a new album, it won’t have a theme or be another concept álbum.

​

Do you have any guests playing or singing with you in this new álbum? You

have an excellent voice!

​

Sarah:

We do have a really special guest vocalist planned for the title track of the new EP, but I can’t officially announce them yet.  It should be really cool, so stay tuned!  Thank you for the compliment as well.

​

There will be a new video of the next single from your new álbum? Any

advance you want to tell us?

​

Sarah:

​

We actually plan to do 2 videos for the EP and have some really cool things planned to promote the EP this year.

Will we have Sarah Teets in Latin América or Europe?

​

Sarah:

Well it’s hard to say for sure, but we do have plans to get to Europe as soon as we can.  I know we have a fan base over there and touring Europe would do great things for the band.  We’re trying to make it a reality as soon as possible. Latin America would be amazing as well, so hopefully both can happen at some point.

​

I think you were at The 70000 Ton of Metal Festival, tell us a bit how was the

Event?

​

Sarah:

​

Yes I was!  The 70000 Tons of Metal Cruise was absolutely amazing.  I was fortunate enough to be gifted a ticket to go and it was one of the coolest experiences I’ve ever had.  It’s amazing enough to have so many great bands performing, but to be able to see such beautiful sights in the Caribbean as well as all the fun things to do on the boat itself.  I met so many amazing people as well.  It was truly an amazing experience.

La banda MindMaze provenientes de Allentown, Pensilvania (Estados Unidos), la banda ha lanzado dos exitosos álbumes de larga duración desde su formación a principios de 2012. En septiembre de 2015, la banda realizó una gira con Saxon y Armored Saint y ha viajado miles de millas y realizado en todo Estados Unidos a lo largo de los últimos años.

¿Qué estilos musicales te gustan o has cambiado por uno en particular? Y si es así, ¿qué tipo de estilo musical es? ¿Más power? ¿Más pesado?

​

Sarah:

​

Honestamente, he llegado a preferir el hard rock / AOR melódico sobre la mayoría de los otros estilos de música, pero mis gustos musicales se han expandido mucho a lo largo de los años. Ni siquiera necesariamente escucho el metal la mayor parte del tiempo. ¡Aunque todavía amo el progresivo y el power metal!

¿Alguna nueva gira para este año con tu banda de MindMaze?

​

Sarah:

​

Realmente no estamos planeando hacer una gira real este año. Estamos tratando de ahorrar para llegar a Europa lo antes posible, por lo que lo más probable es que no hagamos muchos conciertos este año. Sin embargo, todavía habrá algunos geniales en los Estados Unidos.

​

¿Qué piensan los miembros de la banda, están también preparando algún material nuevo?

​

En este punto no hay planes concretos para hacer otro álbum de larga duración. Lanzaremos el nuevo EP en 2019, con algunos singles y videos. Después de que el material haya salido por un tiempo y podamos evaluar la respuesta de nuestro nuevo material, esperamos otra larga duración.

​

¿Qué fue lo mejor para ti del álbum 'Resolve'?

​

Sarah

​

Resolver fue un álbum increíblemente desafiante. Honestamente, estoy orgullosa de nosotros por hacerlo, independientemente de la recepción. Es difícil para mí escoger una parte favorita de ella, pero "One More Moment" es probablemente mi canción favorita del álbum. Tengo una debilidad por las "medias baladas". Jaja

​

¿Cambiarías algo del álbum anterior? ¿O no?

​

Sarah:

Honestamente no puedo decir que lo haría. Estoy inmensamente orgullosa de resolver. Con cada álbum, por lo general siempre hay pequeñas cosas aquí o allá que te comen porque no puedes regresar y cambiarlas. Con este álbum, realmente creo que nos tomamos el tiempo que necesitábamos para asegurarnos de que saliera bien y lo que sea que haya sido imperfecto, creo que se suma al carácter del álbum y las emociones que capturó.

 

¿El próximo álbum será un estilo musical similar, más pesado o más melódico?

​

Sarah:

​

La nueva música en la que estamos trabajando será más sencilla. Resolve fue mucho más progresivo, con canciones más largas y complicadas. Las canciones en el EP son más precisas y son más cortas, más tipo de canciones independientes. Son muy melódicos y algunos de ellos se inclinan más hacia el estilo de rock melódico / AOR del que hablé antes.

​

¿Cuál será el tema del próximo álbum? ¿Una historia? ¿Un cuento?

​

Sarah:

​

Como dije antes, realmente no tenemos planes para un nuevo largometraje en este momento, pero puedo decir que lo más probable es que cada vez que hagamos un nuevo álbum, no tenga un tema ni sea otro álbum conceptual.

​

¿Tienes invitados tocando o cantando contigo en este nuevo álbum? Tienes una excelente voz!

​

Sarah:

​

Tenemos un vocalista invitado realmente especial planeado para la canción principal del nuevo EP, pero todavía no puedo anunciarlo oficialmente. Debe ser realmente genial, así que estad atentos! Gracias por el cumplido también.

​

¿Habrá un nuevo vídeo del próximo single de tu nuevo álbum? Alguna avance ¿Quieres decirnos?

​

Sarah:

​

Realmente planeamos hacer 2 vídeos para el EP y tenemos algunas cosas realmente geniales planeadas para promover el EP este año.

​

¿Tendremos a Sarah Teets en América Latina o Europa?

​

Sarah:

​

Bueno, es difícil decirlo con certeza, pero tenemos planes de llegar a Europa lo antes posible. Sé que tenemos una base de fans allí y hacer una gira por Europa haría grandes cosas para la banda. Estamos tratando de hacerlo realidad tan pronto como sea posible. América Latina también sería increíble, así que espero que ambos puedan suceder en algún momento.

Creo que estabas en el 70000 Ton of Metal Festival, cuéntanos un poco cómo fue el Evento?

​

Sarah:

​

Si lo estaba El 70000 Tons of Metal Cruise fue absolutamente increíble. Tuve la suerte de que me dieran un boleto para irme y fue una de las mejores experiencias que he tenido. Es lo suficientemente increíble como para tener tantas bandas geniales, pero para poder ver vistas tan hermosas en el Caribe, así como todas las cosas divertidas que hacer en el barco. También conocí a mucha gente increíble. Fue verdaderamente una experiencia impresionante.
