Rockshots Records will be releasing the English version of France's Manigance's latest album "The Shadows Ball (Les Bal Des Ombres)" on February 24th, 2023. The original francophone version was released on March 18, 2022.

 

What started out as a cover band to doing full fledge originals and being garnered "Best French Group of 2003" by Hard Rock Magazine and triumphing on the stage at Hellfest (Live video), "The Shadows Ball" is the band's eighth studio album and first to be sung in English by new vocalist Carine Pinto who replaced Didier Delsaux in 2018. The band made the decision to to do English songs as they wanted to make their music more accessible to foreign audiences in preparation for their 2023 European tour with Rhapsody of Fire in March.

 

"This album contains different songs from the Manigance standards. We have shortened the songs and worked on the arrangements. We think we can play a lot of these songs in our shows. It's a sign that the fans should enjoy these songs. They are adapted to be played live. We have evolved in our writing process. The songs are still very rich, but the structure is simpler. We also listen to the latest productions to offer a modern album with a current sound." adds guitarist François Merle.

 

The new album features twelve tracks that are inspired by Pinto's lyrics from personal and intimate emotions, but also can relate to most listeners, from the betrayal of a friend, the burning of Notre Dame Cathedral (Paris – France), climate change, violence against the LBGT community, confinement during COVID, and domestic violence.

The new album by the French band comes with a great combination of styles and rhythms with a lot of strength and energy! An album that gives a lot of musical, melodic, symphonic, and more melodic explosive instrumental structure, which marks the most modern musical style and line, such as Odyssey, an instrumental piece with symphonic elegance in a phenomenal way as a soundtrack! And that opens Cold Blood a powerful song with symphonic sounds with a style and a crisp and well produced rhythm in the power metal style instrumentation and perhaps a bit of progressive in the guidance of Carine Pinto's voice, on All Your Excesses a track With high melodic power, and slightly more specific tempos, in End of Lock Up we will hear a song with a start with stronger and catchier chords with higher tones and forceful and rhythmic guitars in the solos and in the main song The main piece The Shadows Ball a soft and atmospheric beginning that later gives us strong and hard melodic chords, with more strength and presence since here the music of the French reaches a higher point in this song with elegantly made compositional structures and thus we can listen a very well structured style where the tempos, rhythms and passages between the chords and drums plus the modern instrumental and symphonic part give it a lot of weight and elegance! An album with good composition and full of modern Heavy/Power/Symphonic Metal.

Rockshots Records lanzará la versión en inglés del último álbum de Manigance de Francia "The Shadows Ball (Les Bal Des Ombres)" el 24 de febrero de 2023. La versión francófona original se lanzó el 18 de marzo de 2022.

 

Lo que comenzó como una banda de versiones para hacer originales completos y obtener el "Mejor grupo francés de 2003" por la revista Hard Rock y triunfar en el escenario en Hellfest (video en vivo), "The Shadows Ball" es el octavo álbum de estudio de la banda y primero en ser cantado en inglés por la nueva vocalista Carine Pinto, quien reemplazó a Didier Delsaux en 2018. La banda tomó la decisión de hacer canciones en inglés porque querían hacer su música más accesible para el público extranjero en preparación para su gira europea de 2023 con Rhapsody of Fuego en marzo.

 

"Este álbum contiene diferentes canciones de los estándares de Manigance. Hemos acortado las canciones y trabajado en los arreglos. Creemos que podemos tocar muchas de estas canciones en nuestros shows. Es una señal de que los fans deberían disfrutar de estas canciones. Están adaptadas para tocar en vivo. Hemos evolucionado en nuestro proceso de escritura. Las canciones siguen siendo muy ricas, pero la estructura es más simple. También escuchamos las últimas producciones para ofrecer un álbum moderno con un sonido actual". añade el guitarrista François Merle.

 

El nuevo álbum presenta doce temas que están inspirados en las letras de Pinto desde emociones personales e íntimas, pero también pueden relacionarse con la mayoría de los oyentes, desde la traición de un amigo, el incendio de la Catedral de Notre Dame (París – Francia), el cambio climático, la violencia contra la comunidad LBGT, el confinamiento durante el COVID y la violencia doméstica.

El nuevo albúm de la banda francesa llega con un gran combinado de estilos y ritmos con mucha fuerza y energía! Un albúm que da mucha estructura musical, melodica, sinfónica e instrumental explosivo más melódico, que marca el estilo y línea musical más moderna, como por ejemplo con Odyssey una pieza instrumental con elegancia sinfónica de manera fenomenal como soundtrack! Y que abre a Cold Blood una canción potente con sonidos sinfónicos con un estilo y ritmo nítido y bien producido en la instrumentación con estilo power metal y quizás un poco de progresivo en la guía de la voz de Carine Pinto, en All Your Excesses una pista de alto poder melódico, y tempos un poco más concretos, en End of Lock Up escucharemos una canción con un arranque en acordes más fuertes y pegadizos con tonos más elevados y unas guitarras contundentes y rítmicas en los solos y en la canción principal La pieza principal The Shadows Ball un inicio suave y atmosférico que después nos brinda unos acordes melódicos, fuertes y duros, con más fuerza y presencia ya que aquí la música de los franceses alcanza un punto más alto en esta canción con estructuras compositivas elegantemente hechas y así podemos escuchar un estilo muy bien estructurado donde los tempos, ritmos y pasajes entre los acordes y batería más la parte instrumental y sinfónica moderna le dan mucho peso y elegancia! Un albúm con buena composición y lleno de Heavy/Power/Metal Sinfónico moderno.
