Break Me Down is an Italian Alternative Metal band from Milan, formed in 2017.

They released their first EP “Resilience” in 2018, their first record "The Pond" in 2019 and in April 2022 They released the single "See Me Fall".

In June 2022 BMD publish Lose Your Mind, the second unreleased for this year.

Hello Veronica! A pleasure to be able to have this interview with you again! How have you been?

Veronica:

Hi guys. It’s my pleasure to talk with you again. Last month Break Me Down had different live shows and they were great!!! We want more of these memories!!!

What have you been doing in these years when the world stopped?

Veronica:

I made several cakes, bread, and pizza… I’m joking. My band and I worked hard on different materials for our social pages ( Instagram, Facebook, Tik Tok and others). We recorded different versions of our songs, at home ( when we were locked in our apts for the pandemic). When we finally had the chance to meet in person we worked on new songs. It was a long journey, but very satisfying.

How are all the members of the band?

Veronica:

They’re all super good, we just changed the bass player, Tommy took the place that ‘Chef’ left vacant as he decided to change his life completely and start over again in another state.

What have you and your band done in these months?

Veronica:

Right now we are working on a summer cover. It’s a collaboration with another singer and I’m so excited!!! I can't wait to let everyone hear this song.

In the next few months, we will start working on new materials. Meanwhile, we will release other stuff, follow us to be always up to date!

Veronica! Your voice is great! Any special training?

Veronica:

Through the years, in the past, I had lessons but not every teacher was the right one for me. The last I had was the best, he helped me lots to find the right way for me to sing and above all find and develop my personality!

Do you have other new projects or collaborations?

Veronica:

No, I don't. I want to stay focused on Break Me Down and share with the band all I can give!

Your musical influences, has something changed? Has something been maintained?

Veronica:

During the last year, I heard a lot of metalcore, djent, death and doom. I would love to give different characteristics to the next songs.

In this year 2022, did you release two singles, the one from See Me Fall and the one from Lose Your Mind, do they both treat the theme differently, will the previous two singles be part of a full album?

Veronica:

I don't think so. These singles have their personalities, they represent the new sound, the new image and the growth that the band achieved in the past months, they deserve to remain this way, in the spotlight!

Are you working on a new album? Will it have any special theme or musical style like the previous singles?

Veronica:

We already have a bunch of ideas, riffs and other things but nothing decided or developed yet. Then, who knows!?

Will they release another single this year?

Veronica:

We still have another single coming out and the sound is very strong and powerful.

Sorry, but I can't say more than the other guys will kill me!!!

Have you had presentations in Italian cities, a festival or other events outside your country in these months?

Veronica:

We have gigs in September and October in different Italian cities. We would love to have sometime soon shows outside of Italy, planning, planning, planning!!!

Does Veronica have any surprises for all your fans?

Veronica:

I want to change the colour of my hair… What do you think!?

Darkzen:

Well, you'll look great!

Does Break me Down have any surprises coming soon?

Veronica:

We have like A LOT of surprises for you, breakers!!! *over excitement going on*

Anything else you want to share with us?

Veronica:

I would love to but I can’t hahaha follow us wherever you want, we are pretty much everywhere on social platforms… you’ll see!!

Break Me Down es una banda italiana de metal alternativo de Milán, formada en 2017.

Lanzaron su primer EP “Resilience” en 2018, su primer disco “The Pond” en 2019 y en abril de 2022 lanzaron el sencillo “See Me Fall”.

En junio de 2022 BMD publica Lose Your Mind, el segundo inédito de este año.

¡Hola Verónica! ¡Un placer poder volver a tener esta entrevista contigo! ¿Cómo has estado?

Verónica:

Hola chicos. Es un placer hablar contigo de nuevo. El mes pasado Break Me Down tuvo diferentes shows en vivo y fueron geniales!!! Queremos más de estos recuerdos!!!

¿Qué has estado haciendo en estos años en que el mundo se detuvo?

Verónica:

Hice varios pasteles, pan y pizza… Estoy bromeando. Mi banda y yo trabajamos duro en diferentes materiales para nuestras páginas sociales (Instagram, Facebook, Tik Tok y otras). Grabamos diferentes versiones de nuestras canciones, en casa (cuando estábamos encerrados en nuestros departamentos por la pandemia). Cuando finalmente tuvimos la oportunidad de conocernos en persona, trabajamos en nuevas canciones. Fue un viaje largo, pero muy satisfactorio.

¿Cómo están todos los miembros de la banda?

Verónica:

Todos están súper bien, solo cambiamos al bajista, Tommy ocupó el lugar que dejó vacante ‘Chef’ al decidir cambiar su vida por completo y empezar de nuevo en otro estado.

¿Qué has hecho tú y tu banda en estos meses?

Verónica:

Ahora mismo estamos trabajando en una portada de verano. Es una colaboración con otro cantante y estoy muy emocionada!!! No puedo esperar para que todos escuchen esta canción.

En los próximos meses, comenzaremos a trabajar en nuevos materiales. Mientras tanto, lanzaremos otras cosas, ¡síguenos para estar siempre actualizado!

¡Verónica! ¡Tu voz es genial! ¿Algún entrenamiento especial?

Verónica:

A través de los años, en el pasado, tuve lecciones, pero no todos los maestros eran los adecuados para mí. El último que tuve fue el mejor, me ayudó mucho a encontrar la forma correcta de cantar y sobre todo a encontrar y desarrollar mi personalidad.

¿Tienes otros nuevos proyectos o colaboraciones?

Verónica:

No, no tengo. ¡Quiero mantenerme enfocada en Break Me Down y compartir con la banda todo lo que puedo dar!

Tus influencias musicales, ¿ha cambiado algo? ¿Se ha mantenido algo?

Verónica:

Durante el último año, escuché mucho metalcore, djent, death y doom. Me encantaría darle características diferentes a las próximas canciones.

En este año 2022 lanzaron dos sencillos, el de See Me Fall y el de Lose Your Mind, ambos tratan el tema de manera diferente, los dos sencillos anteriores serán parte de un álbum completo?

Verónica:

No, no creo. Estos sencillos tienen su personalidad, representan el nuevo sonido, la nueva imagen y el crecimiento que la banda logró en los últimos meses, merecen permanecer así, ¡en el centro de atención!

¿Estás trabajando en un nuevo álbum? ¿Tendrá algún tema o estilo musical especial como los sencillos anteriores?

Verónica:

Ya tenemos un montón de ideas, riffs y otras cosas, pero nada decidido o desarrollado todavía. Entonces, ¿¡quién sabe!?

¿Lanzarán otro sencillo este año?

Verónica:

Todavía tenemos otro sencillo por salir y el sonido es muy fuerte y poderoso.

Lo siento, pero no puedo decir más que los otros chicos me matarán!!!

¿Has tenido presentaciones en ciudades italianas, un festival u otros eventos fuera de tu país en estos meses?

Verónica:

Tenemos conciertos en septiembre y octubre en diferentes ciudades italianas. Nos encantaría tener pronto shows fuera de Italia, planeando, planeando, planeando!!!

¿Verónica tiene sorpresas para todos tus fans?

Verónica:

Quiero cambiar el color de mi cabello… ¿¡Qué te parece!?

Darkzen:

Pues te verás muy bien!

¿Breack me Down tiene alguna sorpresa próximamente?

Verónica:

¡¡¡Tenemos MUCHAS sorpresas para ustedes, breakerss!!! *sobre emocionada*

¿Algo más que quieras compartir con nosotros?

Verónica:

Me encantaría, pero no puedo jajaja síguenos donde quieras, estamos prácticamente en todas partes en las redes sociales… ya verás!!
