With Independenz, Null Positiv presents their most uncompromising album to date. Completely developed in-house, with in-depth texts by singer Elli Berlin, embedded in a huge sound storm.
With over 100 shows in just 3 years, the band, which is known for its closeness to the fans, has built a loyal audience, which is firmly behind zero positive even during the Corona crisis. Not least because of the large presence on Youtube where the band regularly shares self-produced videos in unusual quality.
Null Positiv caused a lot of dust with their first albums. Fat guitar riffs and crazy drums meet a front singer who appears from a completely different planet. Growls and screams change confidently with hard rock singing or soulful calm tones. There doesn't seem to be anything that singer Elli Berlin doesn't like or can't. And that is lived out with an irrepressible dynamic in every show. Always on the fine line between sexy lady and trend-setting warrior. Because flat and clichéd statements are not the band's thing. Null Positiv sees music as a mouthpiece with real content.
Zero Positiv started 2015 without a lottery win or a record company, but with a sack full of musical ideas, huge talent and the inner knowledge of wanting to live exactly this type of music. The thoughts quickly took shape. Songs were written, recorded and published. In addition, there were music videos in a quality that is rarely found. The number of clicks gave the band right, Null Positiv got more and more popularity.
The debut album was released at the beginning of 2017 and it impresses with its ingenuity and great variety.
"The calm before the storm is long gone" - the first words of the title song Koma, that also applies to the band. Since June 2017 the band has been on tour all over Europe and the fan base is growing and growing.
Zero Positives stay true to their line and produce both music and videos in-house. “We don't want to be bent,” says singer Elli Berlin.
With “Independenz” the band's third album is now released. A trip that is worthwhile, musically innovative packed with a great Elli Berlin.

How have you been Elli? What have you been doing during this long period of little musical activity?
Elli:
I've been focusing on our Music Videos and Social Media. We are also currently creating new songs.
Tell us a little about yourself! What do you like to do? How did the path to this world of Metal take you? Who are your main musical influences?
Elli:
I wish our music was among the best in the world, as Rammstein managed to do.
I discovered metal as a teenager. It is the feeling of belongig to a group that is far from any set-up norms, a group that has its own power and decides for itself what is good and what not. I've always been different from others, I finally had like minded people.
Darkzen:
Your music will do it Elli!
You have an incredible look! You look super cool! Challenging and powerful, how have you combined the musical part and being a model?
Elli:
Well it is pretty obvious that as a singer and performer, you're also a good canvas for different brands. But I don't take every job that is offered to me. If a product doesn't suit me and I can't stand behind it, whatever the reasons may be, I don't want to advertise it.
Now regarding your new album what can you tell us about the album? What does the title stand for?
Elli:
It's about freedom in the outside world as in the inside. Even when there are none, we often create walls with our thoughts. Confidence and tolerance, as well as the art of appreciating and protecting the freedom, that is what this album says for me. Independenz and Freiheit are already published as Videos.
Do you have a favorite song from your new album? Like which?
Elli:
I don't have a favourite one. Each song is our baby and we are proud of every song. It really depends on my mood which one I prefer to listen at the given moment.
The videos you have from this new album are excellent! Freiheit and Independenz! You have excellent photography! Tell us about the production? And the lyrics to those two songs
Elli:
The song Independenz is about a type of freedom that you have not chosen for yourself. It is about a loss, that tears the floor out from underneath your feet and suddenly makes everything different.
The song Freiheit talks about THE FREEDOM as a precious good that should never be taken for granted. Free yourself and free your mind (don't built walls). Break the chains of your own trap and fight for what our ancestors had to work hard for.
As I wrote the lyrics, I immediately had visions for the videos in mind. Also the productions are always very exciting. We look for locations and scene places, we do the lightening and shoot all pictures ourselves. It is extremely exhausting but at the same time incredibly beautiful. Only when everything is recorded as we imagined it to be, we can call it a day.
Your singing style is very good, you have a lot of energy! Your voice adapts so much to a heavier or more passionate style, I don't know if I'm right in what I think, but what do you think?
Elli:
I like to use different singing techniques to give the words I sing the necessary expression. That is why I love the game of switching from tender to hard. It creates this incredibly powerful energy.
Your shows are very dynamic and energetic. What is your favourite part of performing live?
Elli:
Concerts are always a great way to exchange energy. I give my all and I get an incredible amount in return from my fans. That is what performing live does for me.
Have you already made plans to promote your new album on a social network in addition to live? Any live or live stream on a social network for fans to be attentive?
Elli:
We are currently concentrating on high-quality music videos. Live cuts and the Making of Videos, which give our fans the opportunity to get to know us a bit more, are also very popular. Yes, our YouTube channel is worth recommending ☺

Con Independenz, Null Positiv presenta su disco más intransigente hasta la fecha. Completamente desarrollado internamente, con textos en profundidad de la cantante Elli Berlin, incrustados en una enorme tormenta de sonido.
Con más de 100 shows en solo 3 años, la banda, que es conocida por su cercanía con los fanáticos, ha construido una audiencia leal, que está firmemente por detrás de Zero positivo incluso durante la crisis del Corona. Elli:
La canción Independenz trata sobre un tipo de libertad que no has elegido para ti. Se trata de una pérdida, que arranca el piso de debajo de tus pies y de repente hace que todo sea diferente.
La canción Freiheit habla de LA LIBERTAD como un bien precioso que nunca debe darse por sentado. Libérate y libera tu mente (no construyas muros). Rompe las cadenas de tu propia trampa y lucha por aquello por lo que nuestros antepasados tuvieron que trabajar duro.
Mientras escribía la letra, inmediatamente tuve en mente visiones para los videos. Además, las producciones siempre son muy emocionantes. Buscamos ubicaciones y lugares de escena, hacemos la iluminación y tomamos todas las imágenes nosotros mismos. Es extremadamente agotador, pero al mismo tiempo increíblemente hermoso. Solo cuando todo se registre como lo imaginamos, podemos dar por terminado el día.
Tu estilo de canto es muy bueno, ¡tienes mucha energía! Tu voz se adapta tanto a un estilo más pesado o más pasional, no sé si tengo razón en lo que pienso, pero ¿tú qué piensas?
Elli:
Me gusta usar diferentes técnicas de canto para dar a las palabras que canto la expresión necesaria. Por eso me encanta el juego de cambiar de tierna a dura. Crea esta energía increíblemente poderosa.
Tus shows son muy dinámicos y enérgicos. ¿Cuál es tu parte favorita de tocar en vivo?
Elli:
