Lead voice, chorus and instrumental programming
Iza, opera singer, light soprano, has been singing since she was 5 years old. At the age of 18, she entered the Strasbourg conservatory, she continued her singing studies at the Cergy conservatory and finished them at the Paris conservatory.
Iza filled many stages (Palais des Fêtes, Palais des Congrès for the most prestigious, Zenith in Paris under the direction of Joe HISAISHI in June 2011), as well as the paving of several churches for religious works.
In 2006, Iza opened up to non-classical music and formed a cover music band more Rock'n'Roll for entertainment.
In 2010 the ISNOBAK band was born, an original fusion of classical and hard rock music that sometimes plunged us into the world of Pink Floyds, sometimes that of northern musicians like Nightwish. Iza writes wrote custom texts "to transcribe into words what the music tells us" and interprets interpeted them.
In 2014, still driven by this desire to advance and go further, she joined forces with new musicians from very different origins to carry out a more ambitious project. “All dreams come true!”: you just have to believe a lot and move in their direction.
Thank you very much Iza! For this opportunity with you, I send you a hug in these moments of Pandemic, how are you?
Iza:
Despite the circumstances, I'm really fine.
Tell us about you Iza! You are a lyrical Soprano Singer, how was your career in this genre of classical music?
Iza:
I can't really talk about a career in a professional meaning. In France, it's very difficult to make a good living with out of music. And music is far too important to me to downgrade it to a livelihood. So I decided to keep the music for my pleasure, as an amateur.
So I did many concerts as a soloist or in choir formation on projects that allowed me to make very big stages like the Zénith de Paris or the Palais des Congrès de Paris with Joe Hisaishi, the Electro Symphonic Concert with Laurent Couson at the Seine Musicale in Paris, or even on televisions.
I got into metal after 2005, to have fun. It's a music where you can move on stage and interact with your public.
And it is only been since 2013 that I finally started writing my music and texts. I now dare to introduce myself and present my work to the general public. It took me a while.
I listened to some videos of you, tell us about the training of your voice?
Iza:
I have been singing since childhood. At 5 years old I wanted to become an opera singer.
When I was young I mostly sang in choirs. At the age of 18, I went to the music conservatory where I passed all the music competitions in 7 years. In parallel I was studying management at the Sorbonne University.
I made my professional career as a consultant then a business manager. Howerver I always continued to fuel in parallel my artistic life quietly. Music does not feed my wallet but feeds my soul.
I never stopped singing and I always sing a lot. I have the chance to learn very quickly so I get bored very quickly too. That’s why I am still part of several projects in classical music and especially I have my ORIONYS project to write and sing my music and GIDAE to work my classical lyric voice.
How did the love or passion for Symphonic Metal arise?
Iza:
By accident, by chance ! In 2005, I learned electric bass and discovered DreamTheater, Nightwish and the voice of Tarja. It was a revelation to me. Symphonic metal is not really far from classical music: it is classic with electric instruments where you have the right to jump on stage.
I feel the music, the rhythm in my body and so I can’t help moving on stage even even if I limit myself a lot in classical concerts. With symphonic metal, I really found my place.
How was your Orionys band formed? Who are the Members?
Iza:
ORIONYS was officially formed in 2014 and has had a large turnover since its creation. It is difficult to find good musicians in France who want to make music seriously while having fun and over time. So to be able to continue ORIONYS, I made the choice to work with professional musicans. And now the line up of ORIONYS is:
Piwee, Pierre Emmaunel Desfray: excellent drummer and composer,
Olivier Lapauze: guitar, also the guitarist of HEAVENLY
Pascal Mulot: bass
I’m very happy to work in this team.
You are an excellent singer-songwriter! What other surprises does Iza have to delight her fans?
Iza:
I have been officially recognized as singer-songwriter for a short time and I still have a lot to do to improve in this area which has no limits.
A new domain for ORIONYS is the video. Being able to offer videos other than scrolling images and lyrics is a new challenge. In these moment of pandemic, the clips have been delayed : this is our next step. I hope this will dilight the fans
Orionys band as you have alternated with another symphonic metal band? Have you alternated with another symphonic metal band than orionys?
Iza:
No, I have no other metal band, at least not at the moment but why not if it happened.
Today I alternate with my many classical projects.
Tell us about the singles Illuminight, Endless March, Amadeus among others from last year, are those singles part of any production that you are working on or will they just be singles?
Iza:
Writing and producing a song takes me a lot of time because I am a prefectionist and above all I always have new ideas to improve a song. Sharing a song is for me a way of saying: "it's over, let start a new song!". It is the case of Illuminight, Armadeus, Endless March, Lyrical Musing and for all the new songs this year.
It is also a way of regularly feeding those who follow us.
We will probably make an album with the best titles or according to a theme, as artists did it in the past.
Iza is working with your band Orionys in some new video clip?
Iza:
Yes, we called on a service provider to make us ORIONYS’s first clip of the song Illuminight. This is something brand new for us.
What do we expect from Iza IV more later when this Quarantine ends? What can the fans expect from you when the quarantine is over
Iza:
I burn with impatience to be able to replay on stage. Our next concert has been postponed to December. Fingers crossed it won’t be cancelled.

Beyond all that has been said so far, my intension, my secret dream, is to make music that feels good. I do it for you, to make you want to create, to make you to take your guitar or your flute or any instrument and play, to make you want to Live.

Iza, cantante de ópera, soprano ligera, ha estado cantando desde que tenía 5 años. A los 18 años, ingresó al conservatorio de Estrasburgo, continuó sus estudios de canto en el conservatorio Cergy y los terminó en el conservatorio de París.
Iza llenó muchas etapas (Palais des Fêtes, Palais des Congrès para los más prestigiosos, Zenith en París bajo la dirección de Joe HISAISHI en junio de 2011), así como la pavimentación de varias iglesias para obras religiosas.
En 2006, Iza se abrió a la música no clásica y formó una banda de música de portada más Rock'n'Roll para el entretenimiento.

Muchas gracias Iza! Por esta oportunidad contigo, te mando un abrazo en estos momentos de Pandemia, ¿cómo estás?
Iza:
A pesar de las circunstancias, estoy realmente bien.
¡Cuéntanos sobre ti, Iza! Eres un cantante de soprano lírico, ¿cómo fue tu carrera en este género de música clásica?
Iza:
Realmente no puedo hablar de una carrera en un sentido profesional. En Francia, es muy difícil ganarse la vida sin música. Y la música es demasiado importante para mí para degradarla a un medio de vida. Así que decidí mantener la música para mi placer, como aficionado.
Así que hice muchos conciertos como solista o en formación de coro en proyectos que me permitieron hacer escenarios muy grandes como el Zénith de Paris o el Palais des Congrès de Paris con Joe Hisaishi, el Concierto Electro Symphonic con Laurent Couson en el Seine Musicale en París, o incluso en television.
Me metí en el metal después de 2005, para divertirme. Es una música donde puedes moverte en el escenario e interactuar con tu público.
Y solo ha sido desde 2013 que finalmente comencé a escribir mi música y mis textos. Ahora me atrevo a presentarme y presentar mi trabajo al público en general. Me llevó un tiempo.
Escuché algunos vídeos tuyos, cuéntanos sobre el entrenamiento de tu voz.
Iza:
He estado cantando desde la infancia. A los 5 años quería ser cantante de ópera.
Cuando era joven cantaba principalmente en coros. A los 18 años, fui al conservatorio de música donde pasé todos los concursos de música en 7 años. Paralelamente, estudié administración en la Universidad de la Sorbona. Hice mi carrera profesional como consultor y luego como gerente comercial. Sin embargo siempre seguí alimentando en paralelo mi vida artística en silencio. La música no alimenta mi billetera sino que alimenta mi alma.
Nunca dejé de cantar y siempre canto mucho. Tengo la oportunidad de aprender muy rápido, así que también me aburro muy rápido. Por eso sigo siendo parte de varios proyectos en música clásica y especialmente tengo mi proyecto ORIONYS para escribir y cantar mi música y GIDAE para trabajar mi voz lírica clásica.
¿Cómo surgió el amor o la pasión por el metal sinfónico?
Iza:
Por accidente, por casualidad! En 2005, aprendí el bajo eléctrico y descubrí DreamTheater, Nightwish y la voz de Tarja. Fue una revelación para mí. El metal sinfónico no está muy lejos de la música clásica: es clásico con instrumentos eléctricos donde tienes derecho a saltar al escenario.
Siento la música, el ritmo en mi cuerpo, así que no puedo evitar moverme en el escenario, incluso si me limito mucho en los conciertos de música clásica. Con el metal sinfónico, realmente encontré mi lugar.
¿Cómo se formó tu banda de Orionys? ¿Quiénes son los miembros?
Iza:
ORIONYS se formó oficialmente en 2014 y ha tenido una gran facturación desde su creación. Es difícil encontrar buenos músicos en Francia que quieran hacer música en serio mientras se divierten y con el tiempo. Entonces, para poder continuar ORIONYS, tomé la decisión de trabajar con músicos profesionales. Y ahora la formación de ORIONYS es:

¡Eres una excelente cantante y compositor! ¿Qué otras sorpresas tiene Iza para deleitar a sus fanáticos?
Iza:
He sido reconocido oficialmente como cantante y compositor por un corto tiempo y todavía tengo mucho que hacer para mejorar en esta área que no tiene límites.
Un nuevo dominio para ORIONYS es el vídeo. Poder ofrecer vídeos que no sean imágenes en movimiento y letras es un nuevo desafío. En estos momentos de pandemia, los clips se han retrasado: este es nuestro próximo paso. Espero que esto diluya a los fanáticos
¿La banda de Orionys como se ha alternado con otras bandas de metal sinfónico? ¿Has alternado con otra banda de metal sinfónico que no sea Orionys?
Iza:
No, no tengo otra banda de metal, al menos no en este momento, pero ¿por qué no si sucedió?
Hoy alterno con mis muchos proyectos clásicos.
Cuéntanos sobre los singles Illuminight, Endless March, Amadeus, entre otros del año pasado, ¿son esos singles parte de alguna producción en la que estás trabajando o solo serán singles?
Iza:
Escribir y producir una canción me lleva mucho tiempo porque soy una perfeccionista y, sobre todo, siempre tengo nuevas ideas para mejorar una canción. Compartir una canción es para mí una forma de decir: "se acabó, ¡comencemos una nueva canción!". Es el caso de Illuminight, Armadeus, Endless March, Lyrical Musing y de todas las nuevas canciones de este año.
También es una forma de alimentar regularmente a quienes nos siguen.
Probablemente haremos un álbum con los mejores títulos o según un tema, como lo hicieron los artistas en el pasado.
¿Iza está trabajando con su banda Orionys en algún nuevo vídeo clip?
Iza:
Sí, llamamos a un proveedor de servicios para que nos hiciera el primer clip de ORIONYS de la canción Illuminight. Esto es algo completamente nuevo para nosotros.
¿Qué esperamos de Iza IV más tarde cuando termine esta Cuarentena? ¿Qué pueden esperar los fanáticos de ti cuando termine la cuarentena?
Iza:
Me quemo con impaciencia para poder reproducir en el escenario. Nuestro próximo concierto ha sido pospuesto para diciembre. Los dedos cruzados no se cancelarán.

Más allá de todo lo que se ha dicho hasta ahora, mi intención, mi sueño secreto, es hacer música que se sienta bien. Lo hago por ti, para que quieras crear, para que tomes tu guitarra o tu flauta o cualquier instrumento y toques, para que quieras vivir.
Cuando llegué a este objetivo, finalmente he cumplido mi papel como artista.
