Official Bio

The Japanese Symphonic Power Metal band, ANCIENT MYTH, has released their fourth full-length new album “ArcheoNyx”, released on July 7th via Repentless Records.

Based in Greek mythology, like in River of Obvilion where Lethe, the river of forgetfulness (river of obvilion), was one of the five rivers of the underworld of Hades. Released earlier this year, ArcheoNyx featured guest guitar work by HIZAKI, the famed guitarist of Versailles and Jupiter.

The beginning of the album is fantastic, atmospheric, dramatic, operatic and dark! And then strong, fast chords, pure melodic Power metal riffs! With Michal's beautiful voice marking the pace with each note.

River of Oblivion

Another melodic, smooth, fast beginning that later grows in melody and structure, elements of classic instruments with a powerful power metal and the voice of Michal giving greater harmony.

Song of Siren

A beautiful melody where we hear Michal's voice with a smooth, clean and very symphonic harmonized range, accompanied by a melody in the same way, it has a bit of classical music movement.

Crimson Stigmata

A little heavier sounds, strong chords and dominant keyboards at the start, here we have more of the explosion of guitars with brief riffs at times.

Last Light (SE) Meteor Hunter

An ambient sound of rain along with beautiful classic sounds that allude to a storm marked in speed, melody and power with fantastic power metal!

天狼大神

Excellent start with great Japanese setting! Then it is joined by melodic and rhythmic instrumentation to the beat of power metal, soft and fast sounds very harmonic.

Träumerei: Luna

A sublime beginning, with excellent sounds of instruments such as the Violin or Viola, piano with a slow movement, Michal's voice fits perfectly with each song that they show us with the executed scale.

Zenith

And to say goodbye they offer us this strong song, full of harmonies and to the very strong beat of an explosive, fast and melodic power metal.

My Recomendation

The album of ArcheoNyx by ANCIENT MYTH is very elegant, with many musical structures quite well detailed, with the pure style of the band, a Power / Symponic Metal Opera sound and style where harmonic parts, symphonic parts, parts with classical elements stand out. as strong chords, soft melodic very characteristic, there are dark and melancholic passages that give a bit of drama in some parts, also elements with Japanese instruments as in 天狼大神, but highlights the Symphonic and Opera part as a Symphony in the whole album with movements that stand out like in the last song where Michal's voice changes to the beat of those changes with a passionate heroic song, really a beautiful work where the album has a musical line and they highlight it at every step.

Vocalist Michal has an outstanding, smooth, sublime and super harmonic voice! Her range varies from medium to low and clean, her voice range effortlessly elevated with an operatic soprano range.

La banda japonesa de Symphonic Power Metal, ANCIENT MYTH, ha lanzado su cuarto álbum nuevo de larga duración, “ArcheoNyx”, lanzado el 7 de julio a través de Repentless Records.

Basado en la mitología griega, como en River of Obvilion, donde el Leteo, el río del olvido (río de obvilion), era uno de los cinco ríos del inframundo de Hades. Lanzado a principios de este año, ArcheoNyx contó con el trabajo de guitarra invitado de HIZAKI, el famoso guitarrista de Versalles y Júpiter.

El inicio de albúm es fantástico, atmosférico, dramático, operístico y oscuro! Y posteriormente acordes fuertes, veloces, riffs melódicos puros de Power metal! Con la bella voz de Michal marcando el paso con cada nota.

River of Oblivion

Otro inicio melódico, suave, rápido que posteriormente crece en melodía y estructura, elementos de instrumentos clásicos con un potente power metal y la voz de Michal dando mayor armonía.

Song of Siren

Una bella melodía donde escuchamos la voz de Michal con un rango suave, limpio y muy armonizada de manera sinfónica, acompañada de una melodía de igual manera, tiene un poco de movimiento de música clásica.

Crimson Stigmata

Un poco de sonidos más pesados, acordes fuertes y teclados dominantes al inicio, aquí tenemos más la explosión de guitarras con riffs breves por momentos.

Excelente inicio musical! Con voz con un registro alto, soprano que marca el compás y ritmo de los instrumentos que acompañan la bella voz de Michal! Una Opera metal como tal.

Hypno Temptation

Un violín majestuoso, melancólico y fugas, que abre paso con un sonido más lento, suave y largo, acompañado de la voz tranquila de Michal y piano, tenemos la balada en esta parte, con un riff presente con la misma intensidad y estilo.

Last Light (SE) Meteor Hunter

Un sonido ambiental de lluvia junto a sonidos hermosos clásicos que aluden a una tormenta marcada en velocidad, melodía y potencia con power metal fantástico!

天狼大神

Excelente inicio con ambientación japonesa genial! Después se le une la instrumentación melódica, rítmica al compás del power metal, sonidos suaves y veloces muy armónicos.

Träumerei: Luna

Un inicio sublime, con excelentes sonidos de instrumentos como el Violín o Viola, piano con un movimiento lento, la voz de Michal se acopla perfectamente a cada canción que nos muestran con la escala ejecutada.

Zenith

Y para despedirse nos brindan esta canción fuerte, llena de armonías y al compás muy fuerte de un power metal explosivo, rápido y melódico.

Mi Recomendación

El albúm de ArcheoNyx de ANCIENT MYTH, es muy elegante, con muchas estructuras musicales bastante bien detalladas, con el puro estilo de la banda, un sonido y estilo Power/Symponic Metal Operístico donde resaltan las partes armónicas, partes sinfónicas, partes con elementos clásicos como acordes fuertes, suaves melódicos muy característicos, hay pasajes oscuros y melancólicos que le dan un poco de dramatismo en algunas partes, también elementos con instrumentos japoneses como en 天狼大神, pero destaca la parte Sinfónica y de Opera como una Sinfonía en todo el albúm con movimientos que destacan como en la última canción donde la voz de Michal cambia al compás de esos cambios con un apasionado canto heroico, realmente un bello trabajo donde el albúm tiene una línea musical y ellos lo resaltan a cada paso.

La Voz

La vocalista Michal tiene una voz destacada, suave, sublime y súper armónica! Su registro varía de medio a bajo y limpio, su rango de voz se eleva sin esfuerzo con un registro de soprano operística.
