Param-Nesia is a five-piece metal band hailing from Vancouver BC. Their visceral sound combines melodic death, thrash, and hints of prog to create music that takes you on a journey from beginning to end. Originally founded in 2016 by guitarist Andy Cahalin, and drummer Derek Hill, followed shortly by vocalist Cayle Charlton, the lineup is now complete with the addition of Matt Burnham on guitar and Colton Hession on bass. Param-Nesia released their debut EP “The Beginning” in Feb 2019, and are set to unleash their follow-up EP “Aspect of Creation” on June 25th, 2021. They are committed to their craft, striving to create music that is heavy, emotionally charged and engaging. With a hard work ethic, Param-Nesia is actively seeking shows/tours (post covid) and building an online presence to add to their repertoire.

​

An ambient start and later forceful and powerful, strong drums with perfect pedals, throaty voices with good potential, bass guitar chords and excellent bass line throughout the track, a good technical death.

Forsaken

​

A slightly more noticeable melodic line, bars displayed in even, higher speed in certain passages of the same song and riff in the same line in a short way, those powerful and elegant drum pedals give it a lot of power!

Lethocerus

​

Background sound that slowly builds up to a storm of deep, deep throaty chords, chords with the same scale and slightly higher-pitched solos with a short range, a bit more technical death in good shape.

Kicking off with strong chords just like the drums, with a single line at this start, then an abrupt more powerful and aggressive change with the same scale, just a little faster, but they quickly come back with the same style.

Journey to Nothing

​

A more environmental and instrumental beginning, with a powerful guttural and heartbreaking scream accompanied by drums and chords with a strong, low and constant scale, riffs with a slightly higher scale accompanying the other changes of scale and tempos.

My Recomendation

​

It is an EP with many notable influences, but with the seal of the band, they have technique in the aggressive and heavy riffs, melodic riffs, dense and powerful drums that accompany the voice at all times along with the chords with those dense, guttural guitars. strong and fast when singing for moments and for brief moments it has high notes, instrumental sections as in the beginning of some songs with very well carried technical sections! There are melodic measures of technical death, there are more brutal and strong measures of death / thrash metal that serve as a bridge for guitar solos with a heavy and very devastating drums on all tracks with very well made arrangements and with a technical demonstration of speed and strength. . If you are a fan of a more powerful and brutal style, you will like it! For fans of Black Dahlia Murder, Allegaeon, At the Gates, Arch Enemy, Revocation etc ...

Param-Nesia es una banda de metal de cinco piezas procedente de Vancouver BC. Su sonido visceral combina death melodico, thrash y toques progresivos para crear música que te lleva en un viaje de principio a fin. Fundada originalmente en 2016 por el guitarrista Andy Cahalin y el baterista Derek Hill, seguida en breve por el vocalista Cayle Charlton, la formación ahora se completa con la incorporación de Matt Burnham en la guitarra y Colton Hession en el bajo. Param-Nesia lanzó su EP debut "The Beginning" en febrero de 2019, y están listos para lanzar su siguiente EP "Aspect of Creation" el 25 de junio de 2021. Están comprometidos con su oficio, esforzándose por crear música pesada. emocionalmente cargado y atractivo. ​

Un inicio ambiental y posteriormente contundente y potente, batería fuerte con pedales perfectos, las voces guturales con un buen potencial, acordes de guitarra graves y línea del bajo excelente en toda la pista, un buen technical death.

Forsaken

​

Una línea melódica un poco más notoria, compases mostrados en par, mayor velocidad en ciertos pasajes de la misma canción y riff en la misma línea de forma breve, esos pedales de batería potente y elegante le dan mucha potencia!

Lethocerus

​

Sonido de fondo que poco a poco crece hasta dar una tormenta de guturales fuertes y graves, acordes con la misma escala y solos un poco más agudos con un breve alcance, un poco más de technical death en buena forma.

​

Arrancando con acordes fuertes al igual que la batería, con una sola línea en este inicio, después un abrupto cambio más potente y agresivo con la misma escala, solo un poco más rápido, pero rápidamente regresan con el mismo estilo.

Journey to Nothing

​

Un inicio más ambiental e instrumental, con un potente grito desgarrador y gutural acompañado de batería y acordes con una escala fuerte, grave y constante, riffs con una escala un poco más aguda acompañando los demás cambios de escala y tempos.

Mi Recomendación

​

Es un EP con muchas influencias notables, pero con el sello de la banda, tienen técnica en los riffs agresivos y pesados, riffs melódicos, batería densa y potente que acompaña en todo momento a la voz junto a los acordes con esas guitarras densas, guturales fuertes y rápido al cantar por momentos y por breves momentos tiene notas agudas, secciones instrumentales como en los inicios de algunas canciones con secciones técnicas muy bien llevadas! Hay compases melódicos del death técnico, hay compases más brutales y fuertes de death/thrash metal que sirven de puente para solos de guitarra con una batería pesada y muy demoledora en todas las pistas con arreglos muy bien hechos y con demostración técnica de velocidad y fuerza. ¡Si eres fan de un estilo más potente y brutal te gustara! Para fans de Black Dahlia Murder, Allegaeon, At the Gates, Arch Enemy, Revocation etc…
