Celebrating 20 years as a band, ATRIUM NOCTIS released their 5th studio album this 2-22-22.
For the new, symbolically self-titled release "Atrium Noctis" the formation around Hydra Gorgonia went to the Gernhart Studio of Martin Buchwalter (Accu§er, Destruction, Perzonal War, Suidakra, Tankard) to let the best songs of already released CDs shine in new splendor.
All the material has been rearranged to three guitars, which on the one hand can give the overall picture more melodic possibilities but at the same time more pressure on the part of the guitars.
Several vocal tracks with screams, growls and classical vocals complete the picture coherently.
ATRIUM NOCTIS play timeless music rooted in symphonic DARK- and BLACK METAL. Influences from classical music and carried elements from the Pagan Metal area adorn the new output with distinctive independence and special brilliance.
Massive darkness paired with a thick shot of hardness characterizes the new album. Melancholic, sometimes hymnal and soulful passages are also part of it. Epic and colorful nuances enrich the whole additionally fitting.

Atmospheric and instrumental overture, melancholy, which then gives off a death cry of Hein! The tempos change drastically with excellent melodic black metal.
Azazel
A bleak, orchestral, dark start accompanied by gloomy keyboards, then, as in the previous song, the explosiveness with speed, rhythm and harmony, melodic chords and that drummer with a good double blast!
Ikarus
Interesting beginning of this song, a hypnotic flute sound with light and brief acoustics, then a storm of melodic chords and drums with the same force, a cleaner and more powerful voice, the musical arrangements are elegant in this song, with better coupled tempos.
Home
Sounds and rhythms similar to the previous Ikarus song, with a bit of folk which, at times with more melody and harmonies we hear, a bit of folk metal with changes in great tempos! Very happy!
Ancient Whispers
Returning with the atmospheric and instrumental introductions, an even lighter and shorter voice that predominates throughout the song.
Die Nacht des Falken
Excellent musical entry form, heavy beats, slightly stronger chords, more perfect melodic folk metal content full of melodic harmonies.
Zerberons Erwachen
A substantial change of greater power, hard, continuous chords, drums with that classic powerful musical charge of black metal totally, both in the guitars and in the voice!
RIP III
Another instrumental and acoustic song with slow, light and clean musical scales.
Spuren eines Wolfes
Closing this new band album strong and powerful, drums in unison with challenging melodic chords, changing tempos with the same technique and harmonies.
My Recomendation
The band Atrium Noctis wraps us in their Melodic Dark Black Metal combining Symphonic and Pagan parts with that great Folk Metal full of harmonies and melodies that make a great well-handled musical arrangement, with changing tempos in many of the tracks and with dark atmospheres and also powerful, with 20 years of history of the band we can listen to the elegant and well-crafted form of this new album with acoustic guitars, hard, melodic chords, piano passages, gloomy and well-orchestrated keyboards, we appreciate this melodic and harmonic joy with the details of this album with musical variety, we could position it as Extreme Metal with heavier and darker moments and on the other hand more melodic and harmonic, as with a comparison with Cradle of Filth, Dimmu Borgir among others!
The Voice
In the voice interactions, they are of great quality within the style of black metal, sometimes clearer, but with the same atmosphere and heaviness, without forgetting the melodic parts where they enter into rhythm with the musical part, it also has a bit of the death metal growls at times where we hear a more sonorous register.

Celebrando 20 años como banda, ATRIUM NOCTIS lanzó su quinto álbum de estudio este 22-2-22.
Para el nuevo lanzamiento simbólicamente homónimo "Atrium Noctis", la formación en torno a Hydra Gorgonia acudió al Gernhart Studio de Martin Buchwalter (Accu§er, Destruction, Perzonal War, Suidakra, Tankard) para dejar brillar las mejores canciones de los CD ya publicados. en nuevo esplendor.
Todo el material ha sido reorganizado a tres guitarras, lo que por un lado puede dar al panorama general más posibilidades melódicas pero al mismo tiempo más presión por parte de las guitarras.
Varias pistas vocales con gritos, gruñidos y voces clásicas completan la imagen de manera coherente.
ATRIUM NOCTIS toca música atemporal arraigada en DARK- y BLACK METAL sinfónicos. Influencias de la música clásica y elementos llevados del área de Pagan Metal adornan la nueva producción con una independencia distintiva y un brillo especial.
La oscuridad masiva combinada con un grueso golpe de dureza caracteriza el nuevo álbum. Pasajes melancólicos, a veces himnarios y conmovedores también forman parte de él. Los matices épicos y coloridos enriquecen el conjunto de manera adicional.

Obertura atmosférica e instrumental, melancólica, que después desprende un grito mortal de Hein! Los tempos cambian drásticamente con un excelente melodic black metal
Azazel
Un inicio desolador, orquestal, oscuro acompañado de teclados lúgubres, después como en la canción anterior la explosividad con velocidad, ritmo y armonía, acordes melódicos y esa batería con un buen doble blast!
Ikarus
Interesante inicio de esta canción, un sonido hipnótico de flauta con acústica ligera y breve, después una tormenta de acordes melódicos y batería con esa misma fuerza, una voz más limpia y poderosa, los arreglos musicales son elegantes en esta canción, con tempos mejor acoplados.

Sonidos y ritmos semejantes a la canción anterior de Ikarus, con un poco de folk el cual, por momentos con mayor melodía y armonías escuchamos, un poco de folk metal con cambios en tempos geniales! Muy alegres!
Ancient Whispers
Volviendo con las introducciones atmosféricas e instrumentales, una voz aún más ligera y breve que predomina en toda la canción.
Die Nacht des Falken
Excelente forma de entrada musical, ritmos pesados, acordes un poco más fuertes, más contenido de folk metal melódico perfecto lleno de armonías melódicas.

Un cambio sustancial de mayor potencia, acordes duros, continuos, batería con esa carga musical potente clásica del black metal totalmente, tanto en las guitarras como en la voz!

Otra canción instrumental y acústica con escalas musicales lentas, ligeras y limpias.
Spuren eines Wolfes
Cerrando fuerte y con potencia este nuevo albúm de la banda, tambores al unísono con los acordes melódicos desafiantes, tempos cambiantes con igual técnica y armonías.
Mi Recomendación
La banda Atrium Noctis nos envuelve en su Dark Black Metal Melódico combinando partes Sinfónicas y Paganas con ese genial Folk Metal lleno de armonías y melodías que hacen un gran arreglo musical bien manejado, con tempos cambiantes en muchas de las pistas y con atmosferas oscuras y también potentes, con 20 años de historia de la banda podemos escuchar la forma elegante y bien trabajada de este nuevo albúm con guitarras acústicas, acordes duros, melódicos, pasajes de piano, teclados lúgubres y bien orquestados, apreciamos esta alegría melódica y armónica con los detalles de este albúm con variedad musical, lo podríamos posicionar como Metal Extremo de momentos más pesado y oscuro y por otro lado más melódico y armónico, como con una comparación con Cradle of Filth, Dimmu Borgir entre otros más!
La Voz
En las interacciones de voces, son de gran calidad dentro del estilo de black metal, unas veces más claras, pero con la misma atmosfera y pesadez, sin olvidar las partes melódicas donde entran en ritmo con la parte musical, también tiene un poco de los gruñidos del death metal por momentos donde escuchamos un registro más sonoro.
