Lutharö hails from Hamilton, Canada and this group of motivated musicians is bringing a fresh take on heavy metal to listeners around the world.

 

Meticulously blending a range of sounds from death metal to power metal, Lutharö is quality extreme music for all audiences. They formed in 2013 and with furious passion and drive, quickly established themselves at the forefront of the local metal scene.

 

Vocalist Krista Shipperbottom takes inspiration from everyday life events to create the powerful lyrics which she then belts out to the energetic guitar work performed by Victor Bucur and John Raposo. The powerful low end comes from bassist Chris Pacey and keeping everything together is Duval Gabraiel on drums. The highly streamlined group works collaboratively on each track to ensure a unique and diverse final product.

 

Over the years, Lutharö has grown into their distinctive sound, emerging with a heavy and dark formula that gets fans moving. In 2018, they released their debut EP “Unleash The Beast” to great reception and are set to follow it up in 2020 with their sophomore release “Wings of Agony”.

 

Catchy riffs, blazing solos and vocals ranging from vicious growls to cleans that will send a chill down your spine, make Lutharö a well-rounded powerhouse of a band that brings beauty, aggression and skill to the genre.

 

Their unbridled stage domination has been apparent with live gigs alongside Unleash the Archers, Alestorm, and The Agonist. Even with an already impressive resume, Lutharö is just getting started.

Barren

 

Excellent start with lots of energy and a super heartbreaking scream from Krista! A combination of clean, throaty vocals with fierce and wild riffs, melodic and fast style, a lot of musical power since the beginning of this super EP!

 

Diamond Back

 

A brutal start with a bit of a Thrash Metal style but leaning towards Melodic Death Metal played by some of its greatest influences with great genius! Rage and speed with Riffs that cut like knives at every change of musical scale and Krista's vocal ability! Killer riffs and chords at the right times!

 

Blood Lightning

 

We start with a fast and abrasive chord! Treble and powerful riff! And an excellent combination of clean and guttural Krista's voice with an excellent timbre in voice! We can hear her clean voice on this track for a longer time, and a combination of high octane, where the quintet puts the pedal to maximum power with a classic metal of Thrash Metal and Melodic Heavy Metal, pure lethal melodic metal!

 

Will to Survive

 

Very good musical input with an even faster chord and speed! Here the voice of Krista in both combinations as she has been demonstrating her vocal power in combination with brutal guitars and an aggressive drums!

 

Wings of Agony

 

We close the album with a very different musical entrance to the previous songs, I am a little surprised by this and then it assaults us with a more powerful and stronger musical opening, with a murderous melodic war cry and then a totally heavy guttural! It offers the listener another deliberate feast of sharp, explosive riffs with a menacing bass and drums, which then give us an excellent, forceful melodic death to the end.

 

My Recomendation

We have a very explosive, strong and super aggressive single, with a clean, powerful, guttural voice and with overwhelming power on all tracks of the EP, with an amazing influence of a perfect Melodic Death / Heavy Metal, it also presents impressive guitar solos , guitars sound furious just like we like in extreme music like Death / Thrash or Black Metal, frenetic rhythms keep us in the dense and devastating atmosphere from start to finish.

Lutharö es oriundo de Hamilton, Canadá, y este grupo de músicos motivados está aportando una nueva versión del heavy metal a los oyentes de todo el mundo.

 

Mezclando meticulosamente una gama de sonidos desde death metal hasta power metal, Lutharö es música extrema de calidad para todos los públicos. Se formaron en 2013 y con furiosa pasión y empuje, rápidamente se establecieron a la vanguardia de la escena local del metal.

 

La vocalista Krista Shipperbottom se inspira en los eventos de la vida cotidiana para crear la poderosa letra que luego canta al enérgico trabajo de guitarra interpretado por Victor Bucur y John Raposo. El poderoso bajo viene del bajista Chris Pacey y mantener todo junto es Duval Gabraiel en la batería. Vamos a la Reseña!

 

Barren

 

Excelente inicio con mucha energía y un súper grito desgarrador de Krista! Una combinación de voces limpias y guturales con riffs aguerridos y desenfrenados bestiales, estilo melódico y veloz, mucho poder musical desde el inicio de este súper EP!

 

Diamond Back

 

Un inicio brutal con un estilo un poco al Thrash Metal pero inclinándose hacia el Melodic Death Metal interpretado por algunas de sus mayores influencias con mucha genialidad! Rabia y velocidad con Riffs que cortan como navajas en cada cambio de escala musical y en la habilidad vocal de Krista! Riffs y acordes asesinos en los momentos indicados!

 

Blood Lightning

 

Iniciamos con un acorde veloz y abrasivo! Riff agudos y potentes! Y una excelente combinación de la voz de Krista guturales y limpias con un excelente timbre en voz! Podemos escuchar más tiempo en esta pista la voz limpia de ella, y una combinación de alto octanaje, donde el quinteto pone el pedal a máximo poder con un metal clásico de Thrash Metal y  Melodic Heavy Metal, puro metal melódico letal!

 

Will to Survive

 

Muy buena entrada musical con un acorde y velocidad aún más rápida! Aquí la voz de Krista en ambas combinaciones como nos viene demostrando su poder vocal en combinación de guitarras brutales y una batería agresiva! 

 

Wings of Agony

 

Cerramos el albúm con una entrada musical muy diferente a las canciones anteriores, me sorprende un poco esto y después nos asalta con una apertura musical más potente y fuerte, con un grito de guerra melódico asesino y después un gutural totalmente pesado! Nos ofrece al oyente otro festín deliberado de riffs afilados y explosivos con un bajo y batería amenazantes, que  posteriormente nos otorgan un excelente death melódico contundente y hasta el final. 

 

Mi Recomendación

 

Tenemos un single muy explosivo, fuerte y súper agresivo, con una voz limpia, poderosa, gutural y con una potencia abrumadora en todas las pistas del EP, con una influencia asombrosa de un Melodic Death/Heavy Metal perfecta, también presenta impresionantes solos de guitarra, las  guitarras suenan furiosas tal como nos gusta en la música extrema como el Death/Thrash o Black Metal, los ritmos frenéticos nos mantienen en la atmósfera densa y devastadora de principio a fin.

 

Lutharö es una bestia del metal extremo canadiense, con estas canciones potentes y con Wings of Agony, que está disponible en la página BandCamp de la banda. La Voz

Sin lugar a dudas la poderosa voz de Krista te sorprenderá y te llegara a lo más profundo de la cabeza! Fuerte y Potente, gutural y limpia, una gran combinación y una habilidad única, que en todo momento cambia de potencia, pero sin perder su fuerza!
