Greetings friends, here is the new review of The Holographic Principle is the seventh studio album by the Dutch symphonic metal band Epica!
The main idea behind the album is that the universe is a digitally generated hologram. Simone Simons indicated that the band had been writing for a year.

Beautiful introduction! Edge of the Blade
Amazing great confidence with a catchy song! An opportunity to listen to the excellent state of the training and the great sound quality of the band! With strings of great guitars everywhere, with an epic chorus, and excellent grunts of Mark Jansen.
The Phantasmic Parade

And the choirs really look, they will be the main core of the song, it contains one of the most epic and longest chorus of the album, as well as a low vocal contrast during the song as you can hear with Simone. Later powerful Jansen grunts are thrown, and eventually a shuddering guitar solo!
Once Upon A Nightmare
A beautiful soft entrance, unique piano to vocal duo with the beautiful voice of beautiful Simone, the last minute of the track is great, Simone returns to bathe us in its light thanks to its ascended, operatic, captivating voice and combining the Choir in A ballad well worn!
The Cosmic Algorithm
What force with this track! This beastly and powerful! Attacks with unexpected force powerful choirs that act as a refrain and in tune to the rhythm of a furious drums and guitars! Reitero has excellent music technique!
Ascension (Dream State Armaggedon)
What a subtle entry! A darker and warmer track, combining the dark and powerful growls of Jansen, with the beautiful tour of Simone's voice! And listen to those powerful blast beats! Along with the guttural Black Metal style.
Dancing in a Hurricane
The initial percussion is mythical! Beautifully set to the Arabic melody that follows, and becomes hypnotic with Simone that takes us to its vocal charm! In our imagination she is presented next to this beautiful masterful symphony!
Tear Down Your Wall
Shady entrance very emotional and with distant crows hovering over the piano and the melody, then brutal entrance! Fast and powerful! Mark's voice with that power and grunts, next to the beautiful voice of Simone is brutal! The last part is heavy and aggressive! Excellent!
The Holographic Principle (A Profound Understanding of Reality)
Last, longest song and album title contains a fantastic coral requiem and an epic guitar solo! Thrilling from beginning to end, the instrumental interlude excels with a small dose of power of great speed and the final orchestral moment filled with the epic style itself.
My Recomendation
It is a dense album, structured musically, has more musical composition, is not always easy to assimilate, I take time to listen carefully and compare next to the last album of Quantum Enigma in which the Symphonic part is made present quite and for me the voice of Simone has more role, in this too but in combination of the voice of Mark Jansen gives more power to each track and next to the composition and part of the Choirs, it was surpassed the previous album.
Epica has reached what appears to be a super complete álbum, although we could add more its power as a Symphonic Metal band, thanks, in part, to that majestic orchestra that has had countless musicians and instruments good production, growth Musical to give excellent musical works within this musical genre.
The album includes CD's extra, The Acoustic Principle in several versions in acoustic and The Instrumental Principle, in the instrumental version and of the album, as well as a special bonus track, of the ballad played piano Immortal Melancholy.

Hermosa introducción! de Eidola palabra referida de la cultura griega, a los fantasmas o espíritus de los fallecidos, que vive con forma humana, inmediatamente nos vemos envueltos por una gran orquesta y un gran coro, incluyendo la voz infantil de la hija del tecladista Coen Janssen, Catto Janssen.
Edge of the Blade
Sorprendente una gran confianza con una canción pegadiza! Una oportunidad para escuchar el excelente estado de la formación y la gran calidad sonora de la banda! con cuerdas de geniales guitarras en todas partes, con un coro épico, y excelentes los gruñidos de Mark Jansen.

Es una canción cautivadora, la voz gutural de Jansen increíble! acompañada de riffs de guitarra más pesados y agresivos, le da cuerpo a la canción!

Entrada excelente! Es bestial, fuerte, potente, altamente agresiva! Combinando Coro y Melodía! Los guturales excelentes de Mark, en una mezcla entre la bella voz de Simone!
Beyond the Matrix
Una composición más estructurada, un auténtico despegue de materia misteriosa y fascinante, con un bajo genial! y los coros se lucen en verdad, serán el núcleo principal de la canción, contiene uno de los coros más épicos y en tiempo más prolongado del álbum, así como un contraste vocal bajo durante la canción como se puede escuchar con Simone. Posteriormente se lanzan poderosos gruñidos de Jansen, y eventualmente un solo de guitarra estremecedor!
Once Upon A Nightmare
Una bella entrada suave, piano único a dúo vocal con la hermosa voz de la bella Simone, el último minuto de la pista es grandioso, Simone nos vuelve a bañarnos en su luz gracias a su voz ascendida, operística, cautivante y combinando el Coro en una balada bien llevada!

Que fuerza con la que entra esta pista! Esta bestial y potente! ataca con inesperada fuerza poderosos coros que hacen las veces de estribillo y en tono al ritmo de una furiosa batería y guitarras! Reitero tiene excelente técnica musical!
Ascencion (Dream State Armaggedon)
Que sutil entrada! Una pista más oscura y aguerrida, combinando los oscuros y poderosos gruñidos de Jansen, con el recorrido hermoso de la voz de Simone! Y escuchen esos blast beats potentes! Junto a los guturales del estilo Black Metal.
Dancing in a Hurricane
La percusión inicial es mítica! maravillosamente ambientada a la melodía árabe que sigue, y se convierte en hipnótico con Simone que nos lleva hacia su encanto vocal! En nuestra imaginación ella se presenta junto a esta hermosa sinfonía magistral!
Tear Down Your Wall
Sombría entrada muy emocional y con cuervos lejanos que se ciernen sobre el piano y la melodía, después brutal entrada! Veloz y potente! La voz de Mark con esa potencia y gruñidos, junto a la bella voz de Simone es brutal! La última parte es pesada y agresiva! Excelente!
The Holographic Principle (A Profound Understanding of Reality)
Última, más larga canción y título del álbum contiene un fantástico requiem coral y un solo de guitarra épico! emocionante de principio a fin, su precioso estribillo, el intermedio instrumental excelso con una pequeña dosis de power de velocidad genial y al momento final orquestal lleno del estilo propio de épica.
Mi Recomendación
Es un álbum denso, estructurado musicalmente, tiene más composición musical, no siempre es fácil de asimilar, me llevo tiempo escucharlo detenidamente y comparar junto al pasado álbum de Quantum Enigma en el cual se hace presente bastante la parte Sinfónica y para mí la voz de Simone tiene más rol, en este también pero en combinación de la voz de Mark Jansen le da más poder a cada pista y junto a la composición y parte de los Coros, pues si quedo superado el álbum anterior.
Épica ha alcanzado el que parece ser un álbum súper completo, aunque le podríamos agregar más su poderío como banda de Metal Sinfónico, gracias, en parte, a esa majestuosa orquesta por la que han contado con un sinfín de músicos e instrumentos buena producción, crecimiento musical para dar excelentes obras musicales dentro de este género musical.
El álbum incluye CD's extra, The Acoustic Principle en varias versiones en acústico y The Instrumental Principle, en la versión instrumental y del álbum, así como un bonus track especial, de la balada tocada a piano Immortal Melancholy.

La perfecta combinación de voces limpias, guturales y pesadas de Mark junto a la hermosa voz de la Bella Mezzo Soprano Simone es simplemente única, y junto al Coro excepcional.
