A bit the Biography:
The Singer of Nightwish Floor Jansen and Pagan's Mind the guitarist Jørn Viggo Lofstad announced their Northward side project. The cover art for the album was created by Hannes Van Dahl and Chris Rörland de Sabaton.
Northward's self-titled debut Originally written a decade ago in 2008, Floor Jansen (Nightwish) and Jorn Viggo Lofstad (Pagan's Mind) found in 2018 the opportunity to return and realize their vision.

01. While Love Died
The beginning of the album is excellent! Pure Hard Rock style! Jansen's voice is phenomenal! A sticky and addictive song! An explosive entry! Induced drums, strum of simple chords with intermittent harmonics that hit your ear and a vocal cast of Jansen adapted to rock.
02. Get What You Give
Woow what I can say, that heavy input and the voice of Jansen between melodic and powerful as it is within the style, slow and strong the song, the acoustic part gives a super classic touch! a moment of maximum activity in an acoustic interlude, the best is found in its main high-energy recurrent riff, along with avant-garde verses and with meaning that complement each other.
03. Storm In A Glass
A strong whip in sound from the 80s, irresistibly good contemporary rock for these years, can fit the most important genres in any era, has a soft and catchy sound! Jansen's voice accentuates more the melodic rhythm rock!
04. Drifting Islands
Excellent song with Irene Jansen giving her own vocal talents, corresponds to the music with an experienced precision, creating a powerful duo of the Jansen sisters! unique and heavy, vocally, Floor Jansen shows an impressive diversity in all the tracks, and those guitar riffs to the pure Hard Rock and I keep insisting Hard Rock!
05. Paragon
I could not miss the ballad! Where we can hear the beautiful and clear voice of Jansen! Cleaner accompanied by acoustic guitar, but without leaving aside the rocker sound of the hand of Jørn Viggo. A song slower but just as contagious as the previous ones, with the dramatic explosions of sound impregnated with synthesizers and a remarkable printed force.
06. Let Me Out
A great acoustic interpretation short and heartbreaking in turn, first allows the bass to shine and then hits us hard in the ears with another great choir full of melody and style with pure Rock!
07. Big Boy
A heavier sound and the latter is dominated by great riffs that are satisfyingly thick! A popular type of song for fans of Hard Rock is the one that provides this song, the catchy chorus and great guitar work.
08. Time bomb

My Recomendation
It's a very varied album in sounds and in musical style, with powerful riffs and good ballads! full of power and in the maximum expression of the hardrock as such on the disc. Well constructed and executed professionally, inspired by the greats of the genre, both past and present, among them Led Zeppelin, Def Leppard, Motorhead, etc ... As Floor said that Northward's music is simply "good music", but at Jansen and Lofstad style.
The songs of Northward are varied, they change their structure constantly, most of the times within the context of a song and others within the same album. So what one rocker feels and listens could be different for another, and later without warning, he becomes low in heavy and serious lines, there is a love for Classic Rock and of course Hard Rock, Jansen surprises us! Expert in Metal and with talent that can face any genre of his powerful and strong vocal cords and Lofstad a virtuous with the guitar and with great skill !.

The Voice
Floor's powerful voice is impressive! Since I've been listening to it from After Forever until today's date! It is impressive to reiterate, both live and in their albums the voice does not change! La cantante de Nightwish Floor Jansen y el guitarrista de Pagan's Mind Jørn Viggo Lofstad anunciaron su proyecto paralelo Northward. La cover art para el álbum fue creada por Hannes Van Dahl y Chris Rörland de Sabaton.
El debut homónimo de Northward Originalmente escrito hace una década en 2008, Floor Jansen (Nightwish) y Jorn Viggo Lofstad (Pagan´s Mind) encontraron en 2018 con la oportunidad de regresar y hacer realidad su visión.

Vamos a la Reseña!
1. While Love Died
El inicio del álbum es excelente! Puro al estilo Hard Rock! La voz de Jansen es fenomenal! Una canción pegajosa y adictiva! Una entrada explosiva! Batería inducida, rasgueo de acordes sencillos con armónicos intermitentes que te golpean el oído y un reparto vocal de Jansen adaptado al rock.
2. Get What You Give
Woow que puedo decir, esa entrada pesada y la voz de Jansen entre melódica y potente como lo es dentro del estilo, lenta y fuerte la canción, la parte acústica le da un toque clásico súper! un momento de máxima actividad en un interludio acústico, lo mejor se encuentra en su riff principal recurrente de alta energía, junto con versos vanguardistas y con significado que se complementan entre sí.
3. Storm In A Glass
Un fuerte látigo en sonido por parte de los años 80, irresistiblemente buen rock contemporáneo para estos años, puede encajar los géneros más importantes en cualquier época, tiene un sonido suave y pegadizo! La voz de jansen acentúa mas el ritmo melódico rock!
4. Drifting Islands
Excelente canción junto a Irene Jansen dando sus propios talentos vocales, corresponde a la música con una precisión experimentada, creando un dúo poderoso de las hermanas Jansen! único y pesado, vocalmente, Floor Jansen muestra una impresionante diversidad en todos los tracks, y esos riffs de guitarra al puro Hard Rock y sigo insistiendo Hard Rock!
5. Paragon
No podía faltar la balada! Donde podemos escuchar la hermosa y clara voz de Jansen! Más limpia acompañada de guitarra acústica, pero sin dejar a un lado el sonido rocker de la mano de Jørn Viggo. Una canción más lenta pero igual de contagiosa que las anteriores, con las dramáticas explosiones de sonido impregnadas de sintetizadores y una fuerza impresa notable.
6. Let Me Out
Una gran interpretación acústica breve y desgarrador a su vez, primero permite que el bajo brille y luego nos golpea fuerte en los oídos con otro gran coro lleno de melodía y estilo con puro Rock!
7. Big Boy
Un sonido más pesado y este último está dominado por grandes riffs que son satisfactoriamente gruesos! Un tipo popular de canción para fanáticos del Hard Rock es el que proporciona esta canción, el estribillo pegadizo y grandioso trabajo de guitarra.
8. Time bomb
Una canción también pesada, con un riff clásico de Lofstad, aunque un poco más lenta y parecida a una balada después, Un Coro más llamativo, diseñado para quedar atrapado en los oidos. Jansen explota en voz fuerte y vocales dignos de una gran diva del Hard Rock! Como lo hemos venido escuchando.
9. Bridle Passion
Entre las variaciones de Jansen, una acústica altísima. así como su presentación general en vivo. Permite que todo tipo de emoción salga a la superficie en verdad! La acústica que acompaña o la canción que la muestra tienen el poder de mostrar el talento de los músicos asi como la habilidad vocal de la cantante como lo podemos escuchar.
10. I Need
Es otro aplastante track, muy rápida y potente! en esos riffs y un sórdido sonido de esta canción, rápida y fuerte! melódica a mas no poder! violenta y agradable, es bastante interesante, con su propio sonido y estilo.
11. Northward
Y termina con una melodía bastante larga en duración con sintetizadores clásicos tiene una presencia adecuadamente grande en consonancia con el álbum, mientras que el mayor tiempo de ejecución permite que Floor y Jørn experimenten un poco más en sus habilidades cada uno y se tomen su tiempo para lograr el impacto deseado en la que Jansen tiene la oportunidad de presumir su talento vocal mientras Lofstad se mantiene firme en la acústica, un excelente final a un álbum muy variado.
Mi Recomendación
Es un álbum muy variado en sonidos y en estilo musical, con poderosos riffs y buenas baladas! lleno de potencia y en la máxima expresión del hardrock como tal en el disco. Bien construido y ejecutado profesionalmente, inspirado por los grandes del género, tanto del pasado como del presente, entre ellos Led Zeppelin, Def Leppard, Motorhead, etc… Como dijo Floor en que la música de Northward es simplemente "buena música", Pero al estilo Jansen y Lofstad.
Las canciones de Northward son variadas, cambian su estructura constantemente, la mayoría de las veces dentro del contexto de una canción y otras dentro del mismo álbum. Así que lo que se siente y escucha un rockero podría ser diferente para otro, y posteriormente sin previo aviso, se vuelve bajo en líneas pesadas y graves, hay un amor por el Rock Clásico y claro del Hard Rock, Jansen nos sorprende! Experta en Metal y con talento que puede enfrentar cualquier género de sus poderosas y fuertes cuerdas vocales y Lofstad un virtuoso con la guitarra y con gran habilidad!.
Lo que nos dice Jansen:
“La música es melódica, pero también en tu cara y una patada en el trasero. Cool riffs, buenas melodías, arreglos de buen gusto. Simplemente nos gustaría llamarlo 'Buena Música' ”, comentó Jansen y agrega:" Queríamos explorar un sonido de rock básico, con batería, bajo, guitarra y voces. No las pesadas capas de teclados, coros, etc. ”.
La Voz
La poderosa voz de Floor es impresionante! Desde que la vengo escuchando desde After Forever hasta la fecha! Es impresionante reitero, tanto en vivo como en sus álbumes la voz no cambia! Las veces que la he ido a ver en vivo realmente te deja con ganas de escuchar más de ella! Tiene una gran voz muy bien cuidada y entrenada, porque con este nuevo álbum que lanza, con todo el esplendor que nos ofrece al estilo Hard Rock, se puede escuchar en los falsetes, graves y agudos de su voz bien entrenada en voz clásica con amplio registro y rango, no logra ocultar su estampa sinfónica!.
