An international collective Silent Angel, an Italian / Malaysian-based band that has its foundations deeply rooted in power and symphonic metal with a mix of progressive along with Japanese metal influence. Silent Angel's debut album "Unyielding, Unrelenting" has been a long time coming. Working on a shoestring budget, Silent Angel started off by recording some demos and put out a roughly recorded EP just to see if the music had potential and it did. Changing their lineup along with the global pandemic setting things back by a few years, through all the trials and tribulations, their hard work, dedication, and efforts are finally coming to fruition. Immerse yourself in the music and let it give you the strength and courage to face your demons and overcome adversity. There will be a Silent Angel, a guardian, a protector that will give you that sliver of hope and nudge to push on and fight for a better future as you listen to ten tracks of power/symphonic metal. "Unyielding, Unrelenting" offers a lot of pleasant vintage vibes, magnificent guitar solos, and hammering drums, but also sentimental and quiet moments and unique melody lines with its soaring duo vocals and energetic rock singing from Claudia Beltrame, frontwoman for Italian symphonic prog band, Degrees Of Truth and Gracie Shona, well known from the Malaysian club scene.

"This is definitely the most time ever spent on a music project for me, but I certainly believe in the music and the individuals that I am currently working with to make this dream a reality. The tracks are actually a selection of songs that I wrote back in the late 90s until the resurgence and reformation of Silent Angel in 2015 and subsequently, resumed writing and composing the music, lyrics, and song arrangement. I can safely say that our journey has officially begun and I, on behalf of the whole band hope that our fans and supporters from across the world will truly enjoy this labour of love of ours." adds Eric Poon.

My Recomendation

We begin with Unyielding Spirit, with an excellent dramatic symphonic instrumental beginning, the opening very operatic, then they give us the next song from Against The Tides, a fast, melodic, speed power metal song with a motivating battle cry at the beginning, where the female voices They make an excellent combination, with A Destiny In Shadow we have a song that is a little slower in rhythm, that symphonic melodic metal and with certain good progressive tempos, we have good riffs and very rhythmic solos, with Through Selene's Eyes we have a very notable ballad, with chords a little suddenly heavier and a little longer solos, in Aurora's Dream we return with the melodic, rhythmic part and those more noticeable progressive tempos, in Descent Into Infinity, we have a musical and melodic line very similar to the previous tracks with that energy and rhythm, with the good combination of great female voices, and so on until Twilight Of The Black Rose where they close the album with a slow start with those calm and atmospheric chords in the background but then jumping and quickly in the melody you begin to hear it strong and rhythmic way.

Thus we have the album Unyielding, Unrelenting with a style of symphonic power metal with progressive touches and if there is an influence of Japanese metal in the faster parts in the chords in addition to having a double front in female voices Musically, having vocal lines between the operatic part and the clean part, the composition is good musically, being a little repetitive in some musical passes, pleasant guitar and drum solos, with sentimental and calm moments in that ballad and melodic lines with its vocal duet with a rock song by Claudia Beltrame, leader of the Italian symphonic progressive band Degrees Of Truth and Gracie Shona.

Un colectivo internacional Silent Angel, una banda con base en Italia y Malasia que tiene sus cimientos profundamente arraigados en el power y el metal sinfónico con una mezcla de influencia progresiva e influencia del metal japonés. Comenzamos con Unyielding Spirit, con un inicio instrumental sinfónico dramático excelente, la apertura muy operística, después nos dan la siguiente canción de Against The Tides una canción rápida, melodica, speed power metal con un grito de batalla al inicio motivante, donde las voces femeninas hacen excelente combinación, con A Destiny In Shadow tenemos una canción un poco más lenta en ritmos, ese metal melódico sinfónico y con ciertos tempos progresivos buenos, tenemos buenos riffs y solos muy rítmicos, con Through Selene's Eyes tenemos una balada muy notable, con acordes un poco de repente más pesados y solos un poco más largos, en Aurora's Dream volvemos con la parte melodica, rítmica y esos tempos progresivos más notorios, en Descent Into Infinity, tenemos una línea musical y melodica muy semejante a las pistas anteriores con esa energía y ritmo, con la buena combinación de voces femeninas geniales, y asi hasta Twilight Of The Black Rose donde cierran el albúm con un inicio lento con esos acordes tranquilos y atmosféricos de fondo pero después dando saltos y rapidez en la melodía se empieza a escuchar de manera fuerte y rítmica.

Así tenemos el albúm Unyielding, Unrelenting con un estilo de power metal sinfónico con toques progresivos y si hay una influencia del metal japonés en las partes más rápidas en los acordes además de tener doble frente en voces femeninas musicalmente, teniendo líneas vocales entre la parte operística y la parte limpia, la composición es buena musicalmente siendo un poco repetitiva en algunos pases musicales, agradables solos de guitarra y batería, con momentos sentimentales y tranquilos en esa balada y líneas melódicas con su dúo vocal con un canto de rock de Claudia Beltrame, líder de la banda progresiva sinfónica italiana Degrees Of Truth y Gracie Shona.
