‘Celestial Vision’ is the Mystfall introduction to the international metal scene, combining the traditional symphonic metal sound and atmospheres with an enthralling melodramatic approach.

All the songs features catchy melodies, captivating choirs and some very tasteful orchestral arrangements; the whole record is influenced from battle, cinematic, celtic and classic music too. The superb and touching voice of frontwoman Marialena Trikoglou is the icing on the cake on a series of amazing compositions.

Lyrically wise, the ‘Celestial Vision’ concept is quintessentially philosofical, looking for an answer to the perennial “meaning of life” quest.

My Recomendation

The album begins in an atmospheric way and with an environment in which I believe Greek and Celtic mythology with Resisting Heaven very good musical, symphonic, orchestral and cinematographic entry, in Celestial Vision it has the same line and power as the musical overture with that part power of the Greek people! We hear it in the choruses, rhythms and bars, the line of guitars and drums is heavy, hard and powerful, Marialena's beautiful voice is light, clean and with a high register, in the Metal part of the song it has a bit of the style of Epic Power Metal with, However, the focus is on that orchestral style, and so on other tracks where we find more melodic, light and orchestral arrangements, on Centuries we have a strong and continuous song with a tempo change a bit abrupt in the middle part, in Silence we have a ballad completely dominated by the piano and with full vocal exposure by Marialena, but after the part dominated by drums and strong chords, with that dramatic and melancholic part, the line and strong and epic style handles in a similar way with the other songs as in Kings Of Utopia, Moral Compass and The Balance Of Time and finally in Freedom Path they close in an Epic way with a compass of greater speed and rhythm, dominated with that style of Symphonic Metal and Power Metal, but if you notice it, it has the style of the band as such, the Greek style with that characterized force.

The album has good production and beautiful orchestrations, choral layers and melodic techniques of Symphonic/Goth Metal and with that part of Power Metal, the guitars and basses stand out with a lot of power and very decisive that Marialena's voice fades from time to time and his register is sharpened quite a bit, it has a strong influence of his Greek style, strong and orchestral, a bit similar to Two Step From Hell.

Symphonic Metal is diverse within each country or region, the styles of bands like Epica, Within Temptation, Sirenia, Therion, Nightwish, among other bands like this are not the same, some have more fast rhythms, power metal, goth metal, of death metal, more melodic, with more choruses, some more sublime, others darker, melancholic and so on, just as if we compare those of the American continent, in North America they have harder rhythms and the symphonic part is not as detailed as The European style and in Latin America have sounds similar to the European ones but wanting to add the folk part of each region in some parts that symphonic part is lost and in others the melodic part gains, ending up being compared to well-known bands, in Asia for example the symphonic part is still very related to Power metal and Speed metal with that melodic and fast heaviness! Symphonic Metal is very diverse and deep, you just have to know how to listen to it.

"Celestial Vision" es la introducción de Mystfall a la escena del metal internacional, que combina el sonido y las atmósferas del metal sinfónico tradicional con un enfoque melodramático fascinante.

Todas las canciones presentan melodías pegadizas, coros cautivadores y algunos arreglos orquestales de muy buen gusto; todo el disco está influenciado por la música de batalla, cinematográfica, celta y clásica también. La soberbia y conmovedora voz de la líder Marialena Trikoglou es la guinda del pastel de una serie de asombrosas composiciones.

Líricamente sabio, el concepto de 'Celestial Vision' es esencialmente filosófico, buscando una respuesta a la búsqueda perenne del "sentido de la vida".

El albúm comienza de manera atmosférica y con un ambiente en lo que yo creo la mitología griega y celta con Resisting Heaven muy buena entrada musical, sinfónica, orquestal y cinematográfica, en Celestial Visión tiene la misa línea y potencia que la obertura musical con esa parte poderosa del pueblo griego! Lo escuchamos en los coros, ritmos y compases, la línea de guitarras y batería es pesada, dura y potente, la bella voz de Marialena es ligera, limpia y con un registro agudo, en la parte del Metal de la canción tiene un poco el estilo de Epic Power Metal con, Sin embargo, la atención se centra en ese estilo orquestal, y así en otras pistas donde encontramos mas los arreglos melódicos, ligeros y orquestales, en Centuries tenemos una canción fuerte y continua con un cambio de tempo un poco abrupto en la parte media, en Silence tenemos una balada completamente dominada por el piano y con total exposición vocal de Marialena, pero después la parte dominada por batería y acordes fuertes, con esa parte dramática y melancólica, la línea y estilo fuerte y épico se maneja de manera semejante con las demás canciones como en Kings Of Utopia, Moral Compass y The Balance Of Time y finalmente en Freedom Path cierran de manera Épica con un compás de mayor velocidad y ritmo, dominado con ese estilo de Metal Sinfónico y Power Metal, pero si lo notan tiene el estilo de la banda como tal al estilo Griego con esa fuerza caracterizada.

El albúm tiene buena producción y bellas orquestaciones, capas corales y técnicas melódicas del Symphonic/Goth Metal y con esa parte de Power Metal, las guitarras y bajos se hacen notar con mucha potencia y muy determinantes que la voz de Marialena se apaga de momentos y su registro se agudiza bastante, tiene una fuerte influencia de su estilo griego, fuerte y orquestal, un poco semejante a Two Step From Hell.

El Metal Sinfónico es diverso dentro de cada país o región, no es lo mismo los estilos de bandas como Epica, Within Temptation, Sirenia, Therion, Nightwish, entre otras bandas así, unas tienen más ritmos veloces, power metal, de metal goth, de death metal, más melódicas, con más estribillos, unas más sublimes, otras más oscuras, melancólicas y así, al igual si comparamos con las del continente americano, en norte américa son de ritmos más duros y la parte sinfónica no es tan detallada como el estilo europeo y en latino américa tiene sonidos semejantes a los europeos pero queriéndole agregar la parte folk de cada región en unas partes se pierde esa parte sinfónica y en otras gana la parte melodica acabando por ser comparadas a bandas conocidas, en Asia por ejemplo la parte sinfónica aún está muy emparentada con el Power metal y Speed metal con esa pesadez melodica y rápida! El Metal Sinfónico es muy diverso y profundo solo hay que saberlo escuchar.
