With the intention of challenging pre-established ideas, the band PARADISE IN FLAMES was formed in 2002 in the city of Santa Luzia, Minas Gerais, inspired by the good old Death/Black Metal forged in the fire of one of the most brutal scenes in the world.

In 2022, PARADISE IN FLAMES took a major step in their career by embarking on their First International Tour, covering various countries in Southern, Eastern, and Northern Europe alongside major extreme bands like I Am Morbid, Batushka, and Diabolical.

Shortly after returning to Brazil, they released the EP "Past In Files", featuring old songs re-recorded with the new symphonic lineup, done in a fully analog format. In 2023, the band returned to European lands on a new tour with Batushka and Hate, still promoting Act I. Currently, the band is releasing new singles that will be part of their new EP, "Preludium". They are preparing for the reléase of a new album "Blindness" in June 2024 and continue to work on more music videos and touring.

My Recomendation

The album begins with Desolate World, a beautiful and atmospheric, symphonic and dark overture with a good prelude full of suspense, from there we go with Concertó No.6 in C Minor, Cold Spring displaying a whole combination of old school Black metal, and referring to Vivaldi, an orchestral song with violin, symphonic, guttural parts, screams, and coupled clean voices, in combination of operatic female voices in choir, it has notable symphonic movements and tempo changes, then we have Black Wings starting with keyboards and in a theatrical way, very generous chords, alternating time signatures, with a fast rhythm of a melodic type black metal, combined with alternating voices in a significant way and with Brazilian folkloric elements, later with Reasons To Not Believe it opens in the same classical way with that symphonic black metal and that changing rhythms that gives good suspense to the song, with I Feel The Plague it is a heavier song, with chords and a slower rhythm, but Death/Black notably reminds me a little of Behemoth and Vital Remanis but with certain somewhat curious operatic parts, with The Cure we have a similar, dense, heavy beginning with that powerful Death/Black metal and so with the other songs of a heavy, symphonic, dense, dark and powerful album, we have sounds, rhythms and similar styles.

The album is a good mix of Symphonic Death/Black metal elements, with that combination of gutturals, screams and clean voices mixed with that dark, dense and heavy context, the musical structure creates a good operatic setting with that symphonic plot characterized by a rhythm fast, heavy and a little melodic. Good album with influences from the greats of Death/Black metal.

Con la intención de desafiar ideas preestablecidas, la banda PARADISE IN FLAMES se formó en 2002 en la ciudad de Santa Luzia, Minas Gerais, inspirada en el viejo Death/Black Metal forjado al fuego de una de las escenas más brutales de la historia del mundo.

En 2022, PARADISE IN FLAMES dio un gran paso en su carrera al embarcarse en su primera gira internacional, recorriendo varios países del sur, este y norte de Europa junto a importantes bandas extremas como I Am Morbid, Batushka y Diabolical.

Poco después de regresar a Brasil, lanzaron el EP "Past In Files", con canciones antiguas regrabadas con la nueva formación sinfónica, realizadas en formato totalmente analógico. En 2023, la banda regresó a tierras europeas en una nueva gira junto a Batushka y Hate, aún promocionando Act I. Actualmente, la banda se encuentra lanzando nuevos sencillos que formarán parte de su nuevo EP, “Preludium”. Se están preparando para el lanzamiento de un nuevo álbum "Blindness" en junio de 2024 y continúan trabajando en más videos musicales y giras.

El albúm comienza con Desolate World una obertura bella y atmosférica, sinfónica y oscura con un buen preludio lleno de suspenso, de ahí nos vamos con Concertó No.6 in C Minor, Cold Spring desplegando todo un combinado de Black metal de la vieja escuela, y haciendo referencia a Vivaldi, una canción orquestal con violín, partes sinfónicas, guturales, gritos, y voces limpias acopladas, en combinación de voces tipo operísticos femeninos en coro, tiene movimientos sinfónicos que se notan y cambios de tempo, después tenemos a Black Wings iniciando con teclados y de manera teatral, acordes muy generosos, compas alternado, con un ritmo veloz de un black metal tipo melódico, combinado de voces alternadas de manera significativa y con elementos folklóricos brasileños, posteriormente con Reasons To Not Believe abre igual de manera clásica con ese black metal sinfónico y ese cambiante ritmos que le da buen suspenso a la canción, con I Feel The Plague es una canción más pesada, con acordes y ritmo más lento, mas Death/Black notable me recuerdan un poco a Behemoth y a Vital Remanis pero con ciertas partes operísticas algo curiosas, con The Cure tenemos un inicio semejante, denso, pesado con ese Death/Black metal poderoso y así con las demás canciones de un albúm pesado, sinfónico, denso, oscuro y potente, tenemos sonidos, ritmos y estilos semejantes.

El albúm es un buen mezclado de elementos Death/Black metal Sinfónico, con esa combinación de guturales, gritos y voces limpias mezcladas con ese contexto oscuro, denso y pesado, la estructura musical crea un buen escenario operístico con esa trama sinfónica caracterizada por un ritmo rápido, pesado y un poco melódico. Buen albúm con influencias de los grandes del Death/Black metal.
