Ancient Settlers quickly gained a fierce reputation in the melodic-death metal European scene thanks to a relentless live activity, and are now eager to raise the bar with their second studio album.

Guided by the demoniac vocals of frontwoman Argen Death, the Venezuelan/Spanish band masters the melodeath subject with absolute confidence through storming heavy riffs, thick grooves and catchy hooks (just like the Swedish godfathers taught us all).

"Oblivion's Legacy" is a conceptual work that delves into the profound depths of human existence, exploring the legacy we leave behind as individuals and as a species.

The lyrics contemplate the impact of our actions, the struggles we face, and the ultimate fate that awaits us all.

Set against a backdrop of cosmic wonder and existential introspection, each song serves as a chapter in the unfolding narrative of humanity's journey through time and space.

My Recomendation

An album with a different entry, with a freak show! Circus type! With The Circle of Misanthropy which quickly with heavy chords, drums in a single powerful and threadbare rhythm, Argen's powerful voice enters! A good quality Melodic Death! Later with Oblivions Legacy we have a good continuity with that double rhythm and tempo in fact between a dark and heavy, melodic sound and a change of clean and guttural voice, in Stardust Odyssey they return to the same powerful, rhythmic line, with that marked rhythm from the It starts with that totally guttural voice, then a change of rhythm and dominated by those chords and drums, in Wounded Heart it starts with an excellent chord, and accelerated drums, a rhythm with greater speed and forcefulness and then combining clean voices too! From there we jump to Cosmic Farewell with slow rhythms from the beginning, soft and a little slow, but then some heavy chords and drums accompany Argen's powerful voice! And finally with Redemption with a more instrumental ending dominated by chords and drums, changing tempo and speed, with a slightly different style, a bit of alternative metal and metal core, closing the album just like the beginning, hard, strong and heavy.

The Ancient Settlers album is good, with sounds, rhythms and speed that characterizes the style of melodic metal, heavy chords and guttural voices combining that metal core at times alternative, but with good heaviness! At times a little different those rhythms and tempos, with an old school style aggressiveness throughout, a good release with a combination of clean and guttural vocals from Argen!

Ancient Settlers rápidamente ganó una feroz reputación en la escena europea del death metal melódico gracias a una incesante actividad en vivo, y ahora están ansiosos por subir el listón con su segundo álbum de estudio.

Guiada por la voz demoníaca de la líder Argen Death, la banda venezolana/española domina el tema melodeath con absoluta confianza a través de riffs pesados, ritmos gruesos y ganchos pegadizos (tal como nos enseñaron a todos los padrinos suecos).

" Oblivion's Legacy " es una obra conceptual que profundiza en las profundidades de la existencia humana, explorando el legado que dejamos como individuos y como especie.

La letra contempla el impacto de nuestras acciones, las luchas que enfrentamos y el destino final que nos espera a todos.

Con un telón de fondo de maravilla cósmica e introspección existencial, cada canción sirve como un capítulo en la narrativa en desarrollo del viaje de la humanidad a través del tiempo y el espacio.

Mi Recomendación

Un albúm con una entrada diferente, con un freak show! Tipo Circus! Con The Circle of Misanthropy el cual rápidamente con acordes pesados, bateria en un solo ritmo potente y raído, entra la poderosa voz de Argen! Un Melodic Death de buena calidad! Después con Oblivions Legacy tenemos una buena continuidad con ese doble ritmo y tempo de hecho entre un sonido oscuro y pesado, melódico y cambio de voz limpia y gutural, en Stardust Odyssey vuelven a la misma línea potente, rítmica, con ese marcado ritmo desde el inicio con esa voz totalmente gutural, después un cambio de ritmo y dominado por esos acordes y bateria, en Wounded Heart inicia con un acorde excelente, y una bateria acelerada, un ritmo con mayor velocidad y contundencia y después combinando voces limpias también! De ahí nos saltamos hasta Cosmic Farewell con ritmos lentos desde el inicio, suaves y un poco lentos, pero después unos acordes pesados y bateria acompañan a la poderosa voz de Argen! Y finalmente con Redemption con un final más instrumental dominado por acordes y bateria, cambiando de tempo y velocidad, con un estilo un poco diferente un poco de alternative metal y metal core, cerrando el albúm tal como inicio, duro, fuerte y pesado.

El albúm de Ancient Settlers es bueno, con sonidos, ritmos y velocidad que caracteriza al estilo del metal melódico, acordes pesados y voces guturales combinando ese metal core por momentos alternativo, pero con buena pesadez! Por momentos un poco diferentes esos ritmos y tempos, con una agresividad de estilo old school en todo momento, un buen lanzamiento con una combinación de voces limpias y guturales de Argen!
