From Osaka Prefecture Japan, All-female thrash metal band who began as Valkylie in 1984 and released a demo before changing their name to Valkyrie in 1987. Reunited in 2015 minus vocalist Motoko Kobayashi, In 2018 they released the album Valkyrie Rising and this 2023 with their new album called Attack of Valkyrie!
Thrash metal and Death metal are great! Do you have any other musical style that you like?
ValkyrieZ:
Shuko(Drums) : The Beatles
Cor(Bass/Chorus) : Led Zeppelin
Miho(Guitar) : Japanese Progressive Rock
Aya Ozeki(Guitar/Vocal) : Alternative rock, progressive rock, punk, J-pop, etc.
Besides music, do you have any other work or projects?
ValkyrieZ:
We play in a band on our days off, but we work the rest of the day.
Shuko sells work clothes. Miho and Cor work as clerks at government offices, and Aya works as IT engineers.

What does the band name mean?
ValkyrieZ:
I want you to keep it a secret from everyone.
At the store where Shuko worked part-time when she was a student,
she asked the university student she was working with, "Do you have any cool names?" He decided.
Your thrash metal is raw, heavy and fast, what are your biggest musical influences?
ValkyrieZ:
Slayer (Songwriter Miho adores Slayer.)
About your new album, what is the theme of the album? What is the history of the album?
ValkyrieZ:
There is no particular theme throughout the album. Each song has a different theme. (This is my opinion after writing the lyrics)

Currently, we have no plans to create a new music video.

ValkyrieZ:
In Japan, we toured from July to October 2023.
If you had the opportunity to play with another Thrash metal band, which band would you like to collaborate with?
ValkyrieZ:
Shuko would answer "Destruction".
I would love to play with female thrash metal bands from other countries.
Any news for your fans in Japan? And for the world?
ValkyrieZ:
We don't have any plans to perform in 2024 and will focus on songwriting.

De la Prefectura de Osaka, Japón, la banda femenina de thrash metal que comenzó como Valquirie en 1984 y lanzó un demo antes de cambiar su nombre a Valkyrie en 1987. Reunidas en 2015 sin la vocalista Motoko Kobayashi, en 2018 lanzaron el álbum Valkyrie Rising y este 2023 con su nuevo álbum llamado Attack of Valkyrie!
