In the summer of 2022 Meden Agan appeared as an opening act at the Release Athens Festival supporting Manowar, Rotting Christ and Rhapsody of Fire. In September 2022, the band played at the Golden R Festival in the city of Volos supporting Septic Flesh, Nightrage, Innerwish e.t.c. In October they appeared at Temple Athens club along with Silent Winter. During the covid restrictions Meden Agan were working on their 5th studio album (My Name is Katherine). The recording and mixing process took place at the Zero Gravity studios. Mastering was done by Jens Borgen (Arch Enemy, Symphony X, Angra, Opeth, Dimmu Borgir, James Lambrie etc.) In September 2023 they appeared at the Metal Union Agrinio Festival along with Firewind and Nervosa. After that, they got in touch with Sleaszy Rider and very easy they signed a record deal for their brand new album, that is set to be released worldwide on 3 May 2024 in limited deluxe digipack edition! A great album, including amazing female vocals, furious riffs and rhythms, symphonic compositions and cinematic/prog keyboards. Concept album based on original story and novel written by band’s singer Dimitra Panariti.

My Recomendation

Interesting musical beginning with which the album begins with Moth, hard, rhythmic and melodic chords, with that thick and powerful voice! Those guitars take center stage in this track, with Time Like Space, with Trapped we have a different start, a little more emphatic, operatic and even more melodic, with those fast sounds, synths and speed! In Shedding we have a similar beginning to the previous one, with more relaxed, structured and forceful chords, an interesting sound and structure that this new album has, it has multiple sounds and rhythms with various musical influences, with that synthesizer, guitar solos and in the last song of the album, Transition, with that mix between power metal and then a progressive style with those very melodic harmonies!

Meden Agan with this new album is goth, power and even a little progressive and clear symphonic metal, audio samples, chords and rhythms with those synthesizers that give us a sound with a classic metal for a good combination!

En el verano de 2022, Meden Agan apareció como telonero en el Release Atenas Festival apoyando a Manowar, Rotting Christ y Rhapsody of Fire. En septiembre de 2022, la banda tocó en el Golden R Festival en la ciudad de Volos como telonero de Septic Flesh, Nightrage, Innerwish, etc. En octubre aparecieron en el club Temple Atenas junto con Silent Winter. Durante las restricciones de Covid, Meden Agan estaba trabajando en su quinto álbum de estudio (My Name is Katherine). El proceso de grabación y mezcla se llevó a cabo en los estudios Zero Gravity. La masterización estuvo a cargo de Jens Borgen (Arch Enemy, Symphony X, Angra, Opeth, Dimmu Borgir, James Lambrie, etc.). En septiembre de 2023 aparecieron en el Metal Union Agrinio Festival junto con Firewind y Nervosa. Después de eso, se pusieron en contacto con Sleaszy Rider y muy fácilmente firmaron un contrato discográfico para su nuevo álbum, que se lanzará en todo el mundo el 3 de mayo de 2024 en una edición digipack de lujo limitada. ¡Más por venir!

Interesante inicio musical con el que arranca el albúm con Moth, acordes duros, rítmicos y melódicos, con esa voz gruesa y potente! Esas guitarras se llevan todo el estelar en esta pista, con Time Like Space, con Trapped tenemos un inicio diferente, un poco más enfático, operístico y aun mas melódico, con esos sonidos rápidos, sintetizadores y velocidad! En Shedding tenemos un inicio semejante al anterior, con acordes más relajados, estructurados y contundencia, interesante sonido y estructura que tiene este nuevo albúm tiene múltiples sonidos y ritmos con varias influencias musicales, con ese sintetizador, solos de guitarra y en el último tema del disco, Transition, con esa mezcolanza entre un power metal y después un estilo hacia el progresivo con esas armonías bien melódicas!

Meden Agan con este nuevo albúm es góth, power y hasta un poco progresivo y claro metal sinfónico, muestras de audio, acordes y ritmos con esos sintetizadores que nos dan un sonido con un metal clásico para una buena combinación!
