TAG MY HEART – a confident, energetic and authentic group of four combining several styles of modern metal. The band – consisting of Isabel, Neno, Peter and Chris – formed in late 2020 and immediately started pushing the limits that were set by the global exceptional situation in order to demonstrate what their determination and music is capable of. Within the first six months of the band’s existence they teamed up with Marc Görtz of Caliban, Benjamin Richter and Mirko Witzki to write, produced and shoot the first songs and singles.

After playing their first show in Kyiv (Ukraine) with Dark Tranquillity in November 2021, the 1. EP and a support-tour with Dark Tranquillity & Ensiferum followed in spring 2022. Shows with Infected Rain & Lord of the Lost followed.

In 2023 the self-titled Debut Album of the 4-piece band is ready to conquer the world with their energetic Nu Metal Attitude.

Hello! Isabel! Thank you for this super interview with you! How are you?

Tell us about yourself!!!! So that we all know more about you!!

Isabel:

Hey, I´m fine and how are you? I´m Isabel and the singer from TAG MY HEART, I live in Hamburg, Germany and i have spanish/german roots.

Darkzen:

Very good thanks for asking!

You have a melodic, rude and powerful voice that with the high notes on the guitars has more power! Tell us about your integration into the band?

Isabel:

Thank you very much. Neno (guitar) was looking for a singer in 2021 and he found me on social media and asked me if I wanted to join the band and I said YES :D The rest is history.

Nu Metal is a great style of metal! Who are your biggest influences within this genre? Do you have any guilty musical genre that you like?

Isabel:

My biggest Influences are Papa Roach, Limp Bizkit & Slipknot, But I am also influenced by other Genres like Alternative Rock or Singer/Songwriter. My guilty musical genre are Game Soundtracks or Latin/Reggaton Music haha

Do you have any other band you collaborate with?

Isabel:

Yes, I did a Feature with A Life Divided on their new record. It´s called “Tear Down The Walls”

Tell us about your new album! It has the same name as the band and listening to some of your songs, you guys have energy and not only that too, you mix modern metal, did you write some songs?

Isabel:

Yes, I write all the lyrics for Tag My Heart. It is important for me to share my stories and emotions with the people.

But the music was produced by Benjamin Schwenen (Lightmountain Studios) in Berlin.

Do you have a favorite song from this new album? Any that stand out more and why if so?

Isabel:

I would say the song "You Don't Know Love" because it's the only ballad on this record and it doesn't have a classic verse, bridge or chorus.

I just tell a story of something that happened to me last year and it was the first time I wrote a song like that. So that stands out more from the record.

What does your album cover mean? What is the central musical theme of your album and the theme on which its composition is based?

Isabel:

We dont have a specific theme on this album. But the message for some songs are about self-love and to believe in yourself.

Thomas Anderson did this Album Cover and if you are more into Horror stuff you will know whats going on with the woman and the story behind that ;)

How about the German metal scene with you guys?

Isabel:

The Metal Scene in Germany is a very big one and we have a lot of good Metal Bands here. And of course we have one of the biggest Metal Festivals here :)

Will you release another video from this album? Which will be?

Isabel:

The next video is coming soon. But it will be a surprise, so stay tuned ;)

You guys have many tour dates in Germany! Congratulations! What do they tell their fans to expect?

Isabel:

Thank you, and yes, we are very excited about the next few weeks. We are going to do a powerful and energetic show. That's all I can reveal ;)

Isabel:

We can't reveal anything yet, but as soon as we do, we'll let you know on our social media channels :)

Any tour of America perhaps?

Isabel:

Not yet, unfortunately. But we are hoping that it will work out in the future.

Isabel:
