Temperance is a rising star in the world of modern metal!

​

With three modern-melodic clean vocals, Temperance is the one and only in the world to feature this twist of vocal harmonies both in the studio albums and in its live shows! Thanks to the mixture of the crystalline voice of Alessia Scolletti, the strong timbre of Michele Guaitoli and the rough vocals of mastermind and guitarist Marco Pastorino, Temperance’s vocal-line up has a unique shape, supported by the technical bass playing of Luca Negro and the modern drumming of Alfonso Mocerino.

Every Temperance’s show is a special live experience where a mixture of tight heavy guitar riffs, electronics and rock elements are all bounded together with the band’s core elements: melody, power and harmonies.

With three successful releases, titled "Temperance" of 2014, "Limitless" of 2015 and "The Earth Embraces us All" of 2016, and now for you this new album!

The Review!

1. The Last Hope in a World of Hopes

​

I have not heard an entry too melodic and full of life force for some time! As the beginning of this album, its name of the song tells us a lot and the sound is rich in combinations of scales and the voices of both singers!

 

2. Broken Promises

​

A more relaxed sound and style, with light voices by Michele, The choir is very complete and one of the most melodic and rhythmic choirs. Michele leads most of the song and Alessia gives some very powerful notes and interesting contrasting musical scales! near the end, with Alessia giving during the opening verse lighter, while Michele leads a second verse more intense and both couplings are perfect. The chorus is once again unique, the highlight of the song is a large vocal section near the end, where epic support voices are used in the background, the voices are more powerful and emotional.

 

3. Of Jupiter and Moons

​

Melodically faster! Harmonious and relaxed in turn, the voice of Alessia gives a soft welcome to the song of the name of the album with Michele, the keyboards are present and above all I like the scale of a sharp bottom of Alessia almost in the final part which is molded to the final scale of the song.

 

4. Everything That I Am

​

A more melodic song begins with the voice of Michele and dominated by keyboards and symphonic elements, a slower song, there is an excellent guitar work in the second half, and some excellent melodies in parts of the song, both singers offering powerful performances.

 

5. We Are Free

​

A song of Temperance and the seal of the band! With a mix of heavy riffs, symphonic elements and huge vocal melodies together, it is faster with some power metal elements, The chorus is excellent once again on the high scales of the melody, generally more energetic, which keeps the momentum to keep listening more!

6. Alive Again

​

Another lighter and softer track, mainly driven by the keyboard, sung entirely by Michele which his range and scale more severe and strong gives a personal touch to his vocal scale with the same song, which does a great job, with great choir.

 

7. The Art of Believing

​

A faster and heavier song where Alessia takes the lead on the whole track, with male voices mainly in a supporting role, the song is energetic with a catchy chorus, with great riffs, drums and a great use of keys and symphonic elements, the central section is where the song takes off, Alessia gives us some of their most emotional and powerful voices in the whole album in this song and more in the falsetto of the final part!

 

8. The Way Home

​

An entry dominated by the keyboard, has a nice and fast pace at the beginning, heavy guitars, a song with the seal of the band! Again he has nice voices to duo, and he picks up the intensity as he goes, with a single epic followed by a vocal section in the second half very specific and great!

 

9. Empires and Men

​

A ballad, which is a strategy in voices and absolute melody of the album, is a very clear example of musical absence, so to speak, since it does not have much load musically speaking and its total frame are the voices of both with great scales and rhythms, there is the harmonic between the two main singers who only improve when the track continues.

 

10. Daruma's Eyes (Part 1)

To close this super album a heavy and fast song, where the keyboards have a chilling sensation that give it a dense and intense atmosphere, while the guitars provide crushing and harmonious riffs in equal measure and the symphonic elements are coupled to help make it a great epic finale, the final performance is the best, as the background frame reappears and the album ends with another absolutely genuine and powerful performance.

My Recomendation

​

They have a good musical and vocal work, with enough high points for De Jupiter And Moons all previous albums have been unique but follows an impressive evolution of Temperance, in super voices of Chiara in the past and now with Alessia! Along with the powerful voice of Michele, and to my point of view possibly producing its best release to date, a modern melodic metal in its maximum expression, with a powerful amount of power metal, electronic elements and symphonic elements and to accompany incredible vocal melodies well coupled without getting lost with the background music which is a crucial point! It is an album suitable for fans of any melodic metal, as well as power metal that wants to hear well-worked joint vocal melodies.

​

Temperance with a bit of history is a long and heavy touring band, played in more than 150 shows in three years, including a US Tour, a full support tour with Luca Turilli's Rhapsody, a tour in Japan, a European tour in 2017 and a special theatrical show with a choir and a string quartet where the DVD 'Maschere' was recorded, in 2017 and support shows for Nightwish, Slipknot, Within Temptation and more.

 

Voices

The voices of Michele and Alessia are surprisingly coupled! The tessitura and scales of Alessia are surprisingly noticeable from being smooth and clear to an incredible sharp falsetto without getting lost in the background music, clearly a formidable workout! Michele's voice very harmonious and energetic! Melodic and powerful and in a song he leaves us his clear range and clean vocal mastery.

1. The Last Hope in a World of Hopes

 

Hace tiempo que no escuchaba una entrada demasiado melódica y llena de fuerza vital! Como el inicio de este álbum, su nombre de la canción nos dice mucho y el sonido es rico en combinaciones de escalas y las voces de ambos cantantes!

 

1. Broken Promises

 

Un sonido y estilo más relajado, con voces ligeras de Michele,El coro es muy completo y uno de los coros más melódicos y rítmicos. Michele lidera la mayor parte de la canción y Alessiada algunos muy poderosas notas y escalas contrastantes musicales interesantes! cerca del final, con Alessia dando durante el verso de apertura más ligero, mientras que Michele lidera un segundo verso más intenso y ambos acoplamientos son perfectos. El estribillo vuelve a ser único, lo más destacado de la canción es una gran sección vocal cerca del final, donde se utilizan voces épicas de apoyo en el fondo, las voces son más poderosas y emocionales.

 

1. Of Jupiter and Moons

 

Melódicamente más veloz! Armónico y relajado a su vez, la voz de Alessia le da una suave bienvenida a la canción del nombre del álbum junto a Michele, los teclados hacen presencia y sobre todo me agrada la escala de un agudo de fondo de Alessia casi en la parte final el cual se moldea a la escala final de la canción.

 

1. Everything That I Am

 

Una canción más melódica iniciamos con la voz de Michele y dominada por teclados y elementos sinfónicos, una canción más lenta, hay un excelente trabajo de guitarra en la segunda mitad, y algunas melodías excelentes en partes de la canción, ambos cantantes ofreciendo potentes actuaciones.

1. We Are Free

 

Una canción de Temperance y el sello de la banda! con una mezcla de riffs pesados, elementos sinfónicos y enormes melodías vocales en conjunto, es más rápida con algunos elementos de power metal, El coro es excelente una vez más en las escalas altas de la melodía, en general más enérgica, que mantiene el impulso de seguir escuchando más!

 

1. Alive Again

 

Otra pista más ligera y suave, principalmente impulsada por el teclado, cantada enteramente por Michele el cual su rango y escala más grave y fuerte le da un toque personal a su escala vocal con la misma canción, que hace un gran trabajo, con gran coro.

 

1. The Art of Believing

 

Una canción más rápida y pesada donde Alessia toma la delanteraen toda la pista, con voces masculinas principalmente en un papel secundario, la canción es energética con un estribillo pegadizo, con grandes riffs, bateríay un gran uso de teclas y elementos sinfónicos, la sección central es donde la canción despega, Alessia nos da unas de sus voces más emotivas y poderosas en todo el álbum en esta canción y más en el falsete de la parte final!

 

1. The Way Home

 

Una entrada dominada por el teclado, tiene un ritmo agradable y veloz al inicio, guitarras pesadas, una canción con el sello de la banda!Nuevamente tiene agradables voces a dúo, y retoma la intensidad a medida que avanza, con un solo épico seguido de una sección vocal en la segunda mitad muy específico y genial!

 

1. Empires and Men

 

Una balada, que es una estrategia en voces y melodía absoluta del álbum, es un ejemplo muy claro de ausencia musical por asi decirlo, ya que no tiene mucha carga musicalmente hablando y su marco total son las voces de ambos con estupendas escalas y ritmos, allí es lo armónico entre los dos cantantes principales que solo mejoran cuando la pista continúa.

 

 

1. Daruma’s Eyes (Part 1)

 

Para cerrar este súper álbum una canción pesada y rápida, donde los teclados tienen una sensación escalofriante que le dan una atmosfera densa e intensa, mientras que las guitarras proporcionan riffs aplastantes y armoniosos en igual medida y los elementos sinfónicos se acoplan para ayudar a que sea un gran final épico, la ejecución final es de lo mejor, ya que marco de fondo vuelve a aparecer y termina el álbum con otra actuación absolutamente genuina y poderosa.

 

Mi Recomendación

​

Tiene un buen trabajo musical y vocal, con bastantes puntos altos para De Jupiter And Moons todos los álbumes anteriores han sido únicos pero sigue una evolución impresionante de Temperance, en súper voces de Chiara en el pasado y ahora con Alessia! Junto a la voz poderosa de Michele, y a mi punto de vista produciendo posiblemente su mejor lanzamiento hasta la fecha, un metal melódico moderno en su máxima expresión, con una cantidad potente de power metal, elementos electrónicos y elementos sinfónicos y para acompañar  melodías vocales increíbles bien acopladas sin perderse con la música de fondo el cual eso es un punto crucial!  Es un álbum apto para fanáticos de cualquier metal melódico, así como del power metal que desee escuchar melodías vocales conjuntas muy bien trabajadas.

​

Temperance con un poco de historia es una banda de giras largas y pesadas, tocaron en más de 150 shows en tres años, incluyendo un US Tour, una gira de soporte completo con Luca Turilli's Rhapsody, una gira en japon, una gira europea en 2017 y un espectáculo teatral especial con un coro y un cuarteto de cuerdas donde se grabó el DVD 'Maschere', en el 2017 y shows de apoyo para Nightwish, Slipknot, Within Temptation entre otras más.

Voces

​

Las voces de Michele y Alessia se acoplan sorprendentemente! La tesitura y escalas de Alessia se notan sorprendentemente de ser suave y claro hasta un falsete agudo increíble sin perderse en la música de fondo, claramente un entrenamiento formidable! La voz de Michele muy armónica y enérgica! Melódica y potente y en una canción nos deja su claro rango y Maestria vocal limpia.
