The symphonic power metal project TRAGUL launches its third single from 2018 entitled "Goodbye". Always looking to take a step forward in each release and in an attempt to pay tribute to one of Netflix's most popular series, the band had the audacity to release a version of the song "Goodbye" by Apparat, the intro of the massive series of Netflix "DARK".

Originally founded by the composer Adrián Benegas, TRAGUL has the participation of talented collaborators that includes the Spanish singer Zuberoa Aznarez (Diabulus In Musica), the American guitarist Steve Conley (Flotsam and Jetsam), the Paraguayan guitarist Diego Bogarin, the German bass player Oliver Holzwarth (former Blind Guardian, former Rhapsody of Fire, former Tarja) and Dutch drummer Sander Zoer (former Delain).

My Recomendation

It is a very quiet song, deep and dark, which with a completely melancholic atmosphere, Zuberoa's beautiful voice springs up like a unique light, accompanied by soothing and hypnotizing sounds, it's really a good cover made by the band, a style different from what has been presented to us, really feels the mysterious and desolate atmosphere.

The band tell us

The history of metal bands covering other metal or mainstream songs is a long and common style, but TRAGUL, as usual with their "unusual" song-by-song format of releasing their music, strikes again with a "non common" release, in this case, a Series Song Cover. It’s a song with a deep sense of calmness; with a conceptual, minimal, and a darker mood than TRAGUL's listeners are used to. But it’s a song that can be enjoyed at the top, or as pleasant background listening mood, or at the same time as a deeply immersive experience. Haunting pianos and distant guitars sounds produce a stunningly dark yet uplifting sound that truly shines. Each instrument has its own identity, and at the same time all constituting a unique gloomy atmosphere.

One might never think that listening to a singer like Zuberoa Aznarez with an insane vocal range and powerful operatic voice, would seduce you with a whispery and very softer vocals like on this cover, proof of a voice that mesmerizes with its versatility and surprises with her high musical standard.

The song is mixed and mastered by the renowned film score engineer John Rodd. Who has been working on everything from major studio feature films (Elysium), television (Breaking Bad), video game projects (Call of Duty: Black Ops II, Assassin’s Creed), and for numerous CDs and soundtrack recordings with artists such as Eric Clapton, Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Madonna and members of The Rolling Stones, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, and more.

Vocal

The soft, clear voice and with a great vocal range of Zuberoa, which I listen to phenomenally catch us with each step next to a dark piano and a dark atmosphere traps us towards a unique outcome!

El proyecto de power metal sinfónico TRAGUL lanza su tercer single de 2018 titulado "Goodbye". Siempre buscando dar un paso adelante en cada lanzamiento y en un intento de rendir homenaje a una de las series más populares de Netflix, la banda tuvo la audacia de lanzar una versión de la canción "Goodbye" de Apparat, la intro de la masiva serie de Netflix "DARK".

Mi Recomendación

Es una canción muy tranquila, profunda y oscura, el cual con un ambiente totalmente melancólico, brota como una luz única la bella voz de Zuberoa, acompañada de sonidos calmantes he hipnotizantes, realmente es un buen cover hecho por la banda, un estilo distinto a lo que nos ha venido presentando, realmente se siente el ambiente misterioso y desolado.

La banda nos dice:

Realizar un “cover” de otra canción de metal o canciones “mainstream” no es una novedad, pero TRAGUL, habitual a su formato "atrevido" de lanzamiento de música canción por canción, ataca nuevamente con un lanzamiento "insólito", esta vez, un cover de la banda sonora de una serie de Netflix.

Goodbye, es una canción con una profunda sensación de calma; con un estado de ánimo conceptual, mínimo y más oscuro de lo que los oyentes de TRAGUL están acostumbrados. Pero es una canción que se puede disfrutar plenamente, como ambiental, agradable para escuchar en segundo plano, o al mismo tiempo como una experiencia profundamente inmersiva.

Un piano dramático y sonidos de guitarras lejanas producen un sonido increíblemente oscuro pero edificante que realmente brilla. Cada instrumento tiene su propia identidad y, al mismo tiempo, todos constituyen una atmósfera sombría única.

Uno nunca podría pensar que escuchar a una cantante tal como Zuberoa Aznarez, con un increíble rango vocal y una poderosa voz de Opera, seduciría con una voz susurrante y muy suave como en este cover, prueba de una voz que hipnotiza con su versatilidad y sorprende con su alto estándar musical.

La canción fue mezclada y masterizada por el renombrado ingeniero John Rodd.
