A bit of the Bio:
Metal band originally from Mazatlan Sinaloa started in mid 2008 with Luis (Guitar / Voice) Mario (Guitar), Aram (Drums), Juan (Bass), Liz (Voice) and David (Keyboard) as its initiators. On October 22, they publish their self-titled EP 'Caligatum'. On October 24th they were the main band of the ROTAFEST 2015 in Tepic Nayarit, on November 11 they open the Therion show in Guadalajara Jalisco, on March 13 they open the Dark Moor show in Guadalajara Jalisco. On April 17 they publish their first Music Video Dante. On April 1 they open the presentation of EP Sons Of Nephilim in Mexico City, on May 1st they open the Rhapsody show in Guadalajara and on May 19th, 2018 it is the official presentation of their first album which is called EPIDEMUS.

Let's go to the Review!
1. Sepulcrum
Excellent entrance totally atmospheric and full of darkness, symphonic and melancholy, I like the style and the overture of the album.
2. Epitaph (feat Anna Fiori)
A powerful guttural explodes before the entrance of this new track! Heavy and slow guitars that combine with the voices of Anna Fiori and Arianna! Choral and guttural funeral voices accompany the epitaph that gives us a dark and overwhelming emotion!
3. Basilisk (feat Adrian S. Ayala)
A totally different style! Faster and melodic! The guttural opens the song and then Adrian's voice does the work of giving us this most melodic track along with the voice of Arianna accompanying a slow and melancholy rhythm.
4. The Lady Of The Storms
A melodic and more rhythmic track with a fast guitar and heavy drums that accompanies it, majestic backing vocals, and later the beautiful voice of Arianna that clarifies with its vocal nuance this song, slow rhythms and choruses that soften the musical passage.
5. Hecate
A beautiful song which we can hear more clearly the voice of Arianna with a beautiful slow and smooth musical picture, a song with a clear gothic touch, a powerful falsetto in the middle of the song with greater contrast to the accompanying music.
6. Dante (feat. Cristobal Aguilar Basulto)
Excellent entry with more strength! Slow rhythms with a dark style very accentuated! Again the guttural shows the melodic entrance of this song, the voice of Arianna welcomes us in a masterly and symphonic way very well coupled to the powerful guttural voice.
7. Spirit Menguante (feat. Cristobal Aguilar Basulto)
It seems the continuation of the last song with the same powerful guttural Robert! Accompanied by strong and funereal guitars, Arianna's voice rescues us from a darkness that accompanies us with this Waning Spirit! Slow and slow rhythms that give space to the voices of both with well-orchestrated background choirs.
8. Penumbra
I like the entrance with the same atmosphere that each song of the album characterizes, slow and heavy! The voices of both play in unison one next to the other, night and light, make good musical contrast.
9. Abortion Innocence (feat. Cristobal Aguilar Basulto)
A song with a lot of well-managed theatrical cut, operatic voices playing with the notes and sounds given by the guitars together with a totally overwhelming and mysterious atmosphere! Slow and long sounds.
10. Prophecy
The gutturals open with power and sharp guitars and later lowering the speed with the Goth / Doom sound in several well managed tracks, the voice of Arianna is more clear charged with poetry and theatrical singing accompanied by the well-made characteristic melancholy atmosphere.
11. Let the Moon Come Out
This ending was luxurious! Totally a well-orchestrated Mexican style! With an acoustic guitar and next to the vocal contrast of Arianna full of passion and the cleanest and clearest voice with a beautiful falsetto that goes according to the dance of the song that accompanies us when the moon comes out full of beautiful poetry! What a good ending friends!
My Recomendation
For those who don’t know the band Caligatum, its name means "Full of Darkness" and represents the balance of life itself with human nature, the duality always existing between light and darkness, so the dark and dark theme of this album gives a very distinctive stamp to the album accompanied by drama and the harshness and cold death. They take elements of the Doom Metal which is heard in almost all the tracks in their entirety, we find lyric voices, guttural voices with melodies of dark feeling between the night and the light of the moon, among these themes we have "Hecate" a clear symphony , somber with lyrical singing, and slow melodies, which is a Greek moon goddess, which is intertwined with the dark phase of the moon and gives it an even more mythological detail.
What has surprises is that throughout the album we have clean voices, guttural voice, lyrical voice, voice in baritone and soprano with well-executed falsettos from acute to serious. Although sometimes the sound mixes with the voice and the voice or instruments can be heard more.
Also a great mention for the last song the closing of the album, has a great Mexican style that accompanies with acoustic guitar in low notes and slow rhythms but full of feeling with the clearest and softest voice of Arianna!
Voices
Mexican singers from the Mexican metal scene, such as our friend Anna Fiori, Cristóbal Aguilar Basulto (Elitania and Baritono voice) and Adrian S. Ayala (MoonChariot), were invited to collaborate on some topics, which made contrast and accompanied by background choirs gave more body to the voice of Arianna, as much in acute notes as in the Guturals, the voices of Anna and Arianna give a more operatic and theatrical seal to the complete album.

Un poco de la Bio:
Banda de Metal originaria de Mazatlán Sinaloa iniciada a mediados del 2008 con Luis (Guitarra/Voz) Mario (Guitarra), Aram (Batería), Juan (Bajo), Liz (Voz) y David (Teclado) como sus iniciadores. El 22 de Octubre publican su EP homónimo ‘Caligatum’. El 24 de Octubre fueron la banda principal del ROTAFEST 2015 en Tepic Nayarit, el 11 de Noviembre abren el show de Therion en Guadalajara Jalisco, el 13 de Marzo abren el show de Dark Moor en Guadalajara Jalisco. El 17 de Abril publican su primer Vídeo Musical Dante. El 1 de Abril abren la presentación de EP Sons Of Nephilim en Ciudad de México, el 1 de Mayo abren el show de Rhapsody en Guadalajara y el 19 de Mayo del 2018 es la presentación oficial de su primer disco el cual lleva por nombre EPIDEMUS.

Sepulcrum
Excelente entrada totalmente atmosférica y llena de oscuridad, sinfónica y melancólica, me agrada el estilo y la obertura del álbum.
Epitafio (feat. Anna Fiori)
Un potente gutural explota ante la entrada de este nuevo track! Guitarras pesadas y lentas que combinan junto a las voces de Anna Fiori y Arianna! Voces corales y guturales fúnebres acompañan el epitafio que nos brinda con un emoción oscura y aplastante!
Basilisco (feat. Adrian S. Ayala)
Un estilo totalmente diferente! Más rápido y melódico! El gutural abre la canción y después la voz de Adrián hace totalmente el trabajo de entregarnos esta pista más melódica junto a la voz de Arianna acompañando a un ritmo lento y melancólico.
La Dama De Las Tormentas
Una pista melódica y más rítmica con una guitarra rápida y batería pesada que la acompaña, coros de fondo majestuosos, y posteriormente la bella voz de Arianna que aclara con su matiz vocal esta canción, ritmos lentos y coros que suavizan el pasaje musical.
Hécate
Una bella canción el cual podemos escuchar más clara la voz de Arianna con una bella estampa musical lenta y suave, una canción con un toque gótico bastante claro, un falsete potente a mitad de la canción con mayor contraste ante la música acompañante.
Dante (feat. Cristobal Aguilar Basulto)
Excelente entrada con más fuerza! Ritmos lentos con un estilo oscuro muy acentuado! De nuevo el gutural hace gala de la entrada melódica de esta canción, la voz de Arianna nos da la bienvenida de forma magistral y sinfónica muy bien acoplada a la poderosa voz gutural.
Espíritu Menguante (feat. Cristobal Aguilar Basulto)
Parece la continuación de la pasada canción con el mismo poderoso gutural de Robert! Acompañado de unas fuertes y fúnebres guitarras, la voz de Arianna nos rescata de una oscuridad que nos acompaña con este Espíritu Menguante! Ritmos lentos y pausados que dan espacio a las voces de ambos junto a los coros de fondo bien orquestados.
Penumbra
Me agrada la entrada con la misma atmósfera que a cada canción del álbum caracteriza, lenta y pesada! Las voces de ambos juegan al unísono una junto a la otra, la noche y la luz, hacen buen contraste musical.
Inocencia Abortada (feat. Cristobal Aguilar Basulto)
Una canción con mucho corte teatral bien manejado, voces operísticas jugando con las notas y sonidos que dan las guitarras junto a una atmósfera totalmente apabullante y misteriosa! Sonidos lentos y largos.
Profecía
Los guturales abren con potencia y guitarras agudas y posteriormente bajando la velocidad con la estampa Goth/Doom en varias pistas bien manejado, la voz de Arianna es más clara cargada de poesía y canto teatral acompañado de la atmósfera melancólica característica bien hecha.
Deja Que Salga La Luna
Este final estuvo de lujo! Totalmente un estilo mexicano bien orquestado! Con una guitarra acústica y junto al contraste vocal de Arianna llena de pasión y la voz más limpia y clara con un bello falsete que va acorde al baile de la canción que nos acompaña al salir la luna cargada de bella poesía! Que buen final amigos!
Mi Recomendación
Para los que no conocen la banda Caligatum, su nombre quiere decir “Lleno de Tinieblas” y representa el equilibrio de la vida misma con la naturaleza humana, la dualidad siempre existente entre la luz y la oscuridad, asi la temática oscura y sombría de este álbum le da un sello muy distintivo al álbum acompañado de dramatismo y de la crudeza y fría muerte. Toman elementos del Doom Metal el cual se escucha en casi todas las pistas en su totalidad, encontramos voces liricas, voces guturales con melodías de sentimiento oscuro entre la noche y la luz de la luna, entre estos temas tenemos “Hécate” una sinfonía bien clara, sombría con canto lirico, y pausadas melodías, el cual es una diosa griega lunar, que esta entrelazada con la fase oscura de la luna y le da un detalle aún más mitológico.
Lo que tiene de sorpresas es que en todo el álbum contamos con voces limpias, voz gutural, voz lírica, voz en barítono y soprano con falsetes bien ejecutados desde agudos a graves. Aunque a veces el sonido se mezcla con la voz y puede escucharse más la voz o los instrumentos.
También una gran mención por la última canción el cierre del álbum, tiene un gran estilo Mexicano que acompaña con guitarra acústica en notas bajas y ritmos lentos pero llenos de sentimiento con la voz más clara y suave de Arianna!

Se invitó a colaborar en algunos temas a cantantes de la escena metalera mexicana como nuestra amiga Anna Fiori, Cristóbal Aguilar Basulto (Elitania voz Baritono) y Adrian S. Ayala (MoonChariot), que hicieron contraste y acompañados de coros de fondo le dieron más cuerpo a la voz de Arianna, tanto en notas agudas como en los Guturales, las voces de Anna y Arianna le dan un sello más operístico y teatral al álbum completo.
